  1. Well they may not be efficient when you're taking about fuel, but when it comes to money they are, because you can recover a much larger portion of the initial launch, and thus only pay for fuel used
  2. How exactly is it Squads problem when you don't know how mods work?. KSP has one of the easiest mood systems short of a dedicated mood manager that does everything automatically. You download a file, you copy the gamedata folder, and you paste it in the KSP folder. Boom, you just installed a mod
  3. Note you're just trying to limit use of existing mechanics. RTGs don't even produce radiation in real life, and why does everyone keep hating on the nervas? If Kerbals has a problem with radiation they couldn't spend years in outer space anyway. They can, so a few minutes next to a nerva wouldn't be a problem either
  4. I gues I'm a 2,5. With the help of mechjeb I make my rockets as small as possible, but I do include a comfortable safety margin. And I save money where possible by using solid boosters. But I can't fly spaceplanes (well, actually I can't build planes worth jack crap. I have once landed on the island runway with a plane someone else designed, after only a few failed attempts), so that limits me to multi stage rockets, which always costs money
  5. Aren't those pole terrain things because that is where all the lines of terrain scatter merge, causing weird structures?
  6. Well I've been against SQUAD releasing 64 bit in the first place, and now modders have aperently joined me than. I have no doubt though, that the second 64 bit is delcared stable, the modders will jump on it and do whatever it takes to make it work
  7. Just because they are not made to be compatible for the 64bit version, doesn't mean they are specificly designed NOT to be compatible
  8. I did not think off super complex ships. Mostly because I have never build any. It sounds like a much better idea with that in mind.
  9. I actually think that would become more confusing. What I think we need is a clearer link between the staging tree and the individual parts. Right now all indication of what part relates to what staging icon is a light glow. That glow needs to be clearer
  10. The point of the game is to build a space program. It's NOT to manage a business. And regardless of that, as a human, you win by default. There may be some autopilot that can fly a program alone (you can let Mechjeb do everything from launch to return on things like a Mun mission, but AI can't dock efficiently, so complex missions are out. And that's not even talking about building ships. The AI will never be able to design new ships, so every possible ship the AI uses would have to be pre build by someone. So it's a cool idea, but I don't really think it fits, or could work. There is however an alternative. The devs are working on multiplayer, in some form (we don't know anything else about it yet). There are also multiplayer mods. So you can just play against real people
  11. As of yet, the latest official statement is that it's unstable, and use on your own risk. If nothing has changed yet (and it doesn't seem like it did), then there's no need for them to constantly remind people about this
  12. Actually I believe the city lights are from the EVE mod itself, rather than a retexture by Edge of Oblivion. They are also corrupted. We'll have to wait for that mod to be updated to .25 In the meantime I suggest simply deleting them
  13. Some people also suck at taking critisizm
  14. Make a manouver node at apoapsis, burn towards prograde instead of towards the manouver node marker
  15. What does efficiencie have to do with low acceleration in this scenario?
  16. So you cringe at all that, and forget the fact that a rocket scientists uses miles per hour? I know this is made for the avarage stupid american, and they don't understand kilometers, but COME ON
  17. This is an open ended game. Pick your own victory condition
  18. I had a problem with no contracts apearing to, but that got fixed after I updated my mods. Are you stock?
  19. Currently, contracts might aswel not have a fail timer, with how long you have to satisfy them. 10 years for a trip to Minmus is just redicilous. I suggest we reduce the time you have to do a contract to something meaningfull. To Mun and Minmus, a month, and Kerbin orbit, a week for example. Still more than enough time, but atleast it's possible to forget about it and fail
  20. The only reason we have a 64bit version is because people wouldn't stop complaining about it. Now that we have it, people see WHY squad didn't want to release it, and finally shut up about it
