  1. It would be cool to build up an archive of information gathered about the planets, but that's all it is. Cool
  2. It says so very clearly on the contract 'when all conditions are met, activate the part through the staging menu' Always read the mission, and than you know how to complete it
  3. I have a question. In the old version, there was a settings option to have the Alarm clock automaticly generate alarms for new SOI changes. I loved that setting. But I can't find it in the new version. Am I missing it, or has it been replaced with that + icon? The setting was great as an automatic 'stop timewarp whenever SOI change happends somewhere'
  4. He just said that a tidal locked planet still rotates. Just not very fast That's not the same thing as tidal locked. But it would be interesting
  5. Yup, no problem installing it mid career. Like all part mods, it will add the parts to the respective tech nodes, and you can than buy those parts in that node like you always do when you unlock a new node But... WHY? You don't even need an antenna if they are going to come home anyway
  6. Well you can still use it if you rememeber that the Navball is flipped over. It's just a little tedious
  7. The reason 64bit is available is because people wouldn't shut up about it, dispite Squad telling everyone that it's to unstable for release. So they just released it, and now people can see that it's to unstable As for the GB limit: It may seem like alot, but there are people here who have so many mods that they actually go over it
  8. To predict allignment in advance, there is a very helfull tool: http://alexmoon.github.io/ksp/
  9. It does. You wanna know how I learned to rendezvous? By watching Mechjeb do it a few times. There is a docking autocomputer, but it's excruciatingly inefficient, and will frustrate anyone who tries it into doing it themselves (or kill Kerbals trying) Actually Mechjeb is off until you turn it on. So yes, you can use it for only the info. Infact, if you use career mode, you have to unlock different MJ functions seperatly. At first you have nothing, after a few nodes you can unlock the information, few nodes later comes manouvernode excecution, ect
  10. Yup, it's called tidal locking. Our moon has the same thing, it's always the same side that faces the Earth. Basicly what happends is that while the planet rotates around it's parent (star), it's own rotation (around itself) takes exactly the same time. So 1 day is the same lenght as 1 year
  11. God please not another walking simulator
  12. Hyperedit should make that easy. Just delete the fuel tank and place something else in it's spot.
  13. Sounds like your probe core is upside down. Perhaps you build the ion engine ontop of the probe while building it? That would cause an upside down probe core without ever having flipped it
  14. Except for a single peak, not that much higher. http://steamcharts.com/cmp/244850,220200#All And there is no alternative store that a portion of the population uses, so the KSP numbers are actually higher than they appear
  15. It's a tiny bit higher than hundreds
  16. The problem is that, without any deltaV readouts (the thing people suggest KER or Mechjeb for), building a good ship is basicly guessing. And guessing is fine if you want to get to Kerbin orbit. You just add abit of fuel if you fall short. But for an entire round trip to Duna, you don't want to realize halfway through your return burn that you are JUST short of getting home. You want to be sure PS: There is no automated system for docking, so how exactly does having Mechjeb stop you from learning docking?
  17. @Northstar1989: Last time I checked, the Alt F12 menu had an infinite fuel option
  18. It's supposed to give you a taste of what the game is, not be an entire game on itself
  19. Sure, predictable failures, where you know exactly how and when and why something will go wrong (a Mun is coming to throw you out of the system, in 5 days, because you put the rocket there). You learn from those
  20. I had not concidered that version. Only saw it once, and never used it because I wanted to keep the requirement to unlock new functions. Thanks for the help, that solves it
  21. Yea, there's no fun without a Mun coming to crush them
