  1. Well, .23.5 IS a NASA mod. I'd suggest you start with that
  2. Don't you mean units? KSP doesn't use liters Also I believe you need 666 units
  3. While I almost never have problems with drifting node markers, I know the problem. Mechjeb will always try to follow the marker, and the problem is that, if it drifts like that at the very last stages of the burn, Mechjeb will follow it. But it will keep burning the engines while chacing the marker. THAT is what's causing the problems. The docking autopilot is extremely inefficient, if you know how to dock, don't use it
  4. Really, this crap again? First of all: It's not even possible anymore, with the addition of limited science transmission. SECOND: The ONLY people that were able to do this were extremely skilled. You can't base your assesments of dificulty of a game on the achievements of a small elite group. And YES this game gets easier as you play longer. But that has nothing to do with the tech tree. That has to do with YOU learning how the game WORKS. You can't 'make it more difficult' for someone who already knows how the game works, except by, at the same time, making it IMPOSSIBLE for those that don't know how the game work. We're doing science here. The more you know, the easier it becomes. This game's challange isn't in thougher enemys, it's ALL in knowing how the game works. Compare it to a puzzle. Once you know how the puzzle works, it's easy to solve it. You can't make the puzzle 'more difficult'
  5. I'm sorry I have to say that, but that Jr Docking port is going to cause problems if you turn on the engine. Jr ports are notorious for weak connection, and they probably can't handle the thrust coming from a Mainsail
  6. Looks like the candles aren't perfectly alligned. I also support the suggestion to sacrifice some Kerbals, or ships. You could try to borrow The important part starts at 2:50
  7. Sounds like you probably put one or both of the docking ports on pointing the wrong side. If that's not the case, we'll need some screenshots to determine the problem
  8. .24 is probably only going to be the framework for contracts. I expect the money part to be added later, and the converstions even later than that (it'll take awhile to figure out the ballance between the different currencies)
  9. Wack-a-Kerbal is a function that you can open from the debug menu (alt+F12) You can use it to shoot balls at whatever you are pointing the mouse at. Very usefull if you get frustrated with a rocket and want to blow it up, but don't want to spend the time needed to crash it (or if it's already landed)
  10. Well you could always try to use Wack-a-Kerbal to destroy the ladder, but it's not very likely to keep the hitch hiker instact
  11. You're not. You do science, and based on that science you get a budget that you use to research new parts
  12. Actually they use maks with oxygen tanks once they get above a certain atmosphere. And there is still WAY more breathable air there than there'd be on Duna Also, climbers only have to worry about low oxygen levels. Not about toxic gasses. Anyway you could pile a couple of hitchhikers ontop of eachother, with maybe a capula for epic views. Give each one their own room should fix things. Just remember to bring enough antennas to make sure Jeb doesn't tank the bandwith when he's downloading stuf
  13. We'll get a sense of purpose when they introduce money and contracts. However I wouldn't want the career mode to be transformed into a campain (as you suggest). Atleast not a liniar campain, as you seem to be suggesting. Though some quests to do on the side wouldn't be bad
  14. Mechjeb works just fine on .23.5, I use it all the time Rovers are alittle tricky, but you have to remember that they actually go very fast. Real life rovers move really slow. The Curiosity rover moves some 200meters per day. So you're flipping because you are going relativly fast on a low gravity world
  15. Why exactly do you still run .23? Personally I can't see any reason to hold off, you can still use your save file from .23 in .23.5, and it fixes your first problem Other than that, welcome
  16. Concidering every single person in this thread has said the same thing... I think you'd be safe with asuming it is
  17. Most of my rockets actually lift off with a TWR of 1.2-1.5, and it seems to work just fine for getting to orbit. I usually burn about 4.7km/s deltaV to get into orbit with that. Overall I haven't noticed that much of a difference in costs with different TWR profile. It should be notided that I do always stay under therminal velocity (I let mechjeb do that for me)
  18. So you watched some YOUTUBE videos, and concluded your entire investigation based on that? Yea, that's some primo evidence you have there buddy It's funny how you don't want to buy it because of a single rare bug though. I've had this game since 0.20 now, and I've never seen it. Hell, I've never even had ANY bugs. I think the Kraken is ignoring me PS: " h kraken (please no foul language in this thread) " Wut? Are you implying that hell is foul language? Since when?
  19. Shift to throttle up, ctr to throttle down Asuming you are in career mode, ship design will come on it's own. You start with a capsule and a single tank+engine, and it'll grow whenever you unlock more nodes. Experiment with every thing you get. They all have some use, so just slap some parts tougether and see what works
  20. That looks like some primo Kraken bait you have there
  21. If it's not for stock, what are you doing in the suggestion forum? You should be in the mods forum
  22. I doubt that's possible. This game loads all assats on launch. That means it doesn't load anything after launch. So no, it can't install a completely new mod while running. And even if it was possible, it MIGHT be used once or twice by someone, and than never again. How often do you realize DURING the game that you need a specific mod for something? I did it once, with root select. It's not worth the difficulty of coding your suggestion, just to save the 10 minutes it would take to reload the game
