  1. Oh, so now the game becomes a challenge and you don't like that? Too bad! If you don't like the challenge, don't do it and don't complain about it.
  2. DragonForce - Revelations 'Valley of the Damned' Album. Lyrics: "With the North Star the guides us" "We ride on the sky" "Blazing up through the heavens" "Like Eagles we fly"
  3. Are we talking about that b- *gets whacked over the head with a wet newspaper* Ow! Alright alright!
  4. I only use them to transfer kerbals to and from orbit. Other then that, a well-designed spaceplane can do a better job.
  5. A long time ago, I wrote an email to SQUAD asking for permission to use KSP footage on my Youtube channel (in progress-AHEM). I asked for a written permission however the response was as the OP stated, refer to the FAQ as I did not need a written permission.
  6. Never test a rocket before launch, with payload and kerbals. Never shave my beard while waiting for node.
  7. Perhaps some kind of mod could sate your desire for additional landing areas?
  8. Before there was Rapier engines people used the combination of turbo-jet/Rocket engine to great success. Meta-game became the norm and now people are using the Rapier engine which is just much easier to use. Which is why I added the additional challenge of using the old system. As for the topic, the turbo-jet may yet come to glory if more planets with a atmosphere is added to the game.
  9. I am with Col_Jessep on this one, Kerbal sacrificed kittens to the devil and exchanged his death with some kind of unholy un-life. I smell sorcery and witchcraft, Whackjob was here...
  10. In all honesty the Rapier engine is easy mode. If you want more challenge then stick with a Rocket/Turbo-jet mix for the sake of your own ego, the respect of the community(skillz) and the general impression that you know what the heck you are talking about.
  11. It might be a better idea to setup a research/fuel station in a shallow orbit around the Mun, then use a lander with the science gear for each biome.
  12. Mission XXX Locate Kraken. *375.000 years later*
  13. A new solar system would be a lot better then a few measly planets.
  14. In general I take an extra 15-30% more fuel then needed.
  15. I got myself Bandicam and so far it works really well across many game genres.
  16. Hi, TP here! Just two planes I built last week, they are not really that fancy or interesting other then the high part count. My idea was to make a modular design which allowed an indefinite number of modules to be combined according to your own needs. May need some more work, will see if I can find the time for it. The "Maelstrum" is an upgrade from the original "Yag Saron"; - Less parts - Less tonnage.* - More agility - More speed. - More fuel capacity.(optional)* *When refering to less tonnage I mean the overall capacity/payload of fuel has increased compared to the total weight. Q&A Q: Do these things even take off from the runway? A: Yes, thou the Yag Saron may touch some grassland after it runs out of runway. - Q: Whats next? A: A more modular design with a set number of engines pr module, including intakes, struts, girders and wings. Maelstrum(824P/300T) Yag Saron(970P/310T)
  17. As Random Tank said, I want to at least give stock a try before resorting to mods. Sandbox mode, ehh not sure yet.
  18. So the prophet is here? Pff. Ever heard of reverting to a an older build? Ofc I am going to keep my saves, to hell with your pessimism.
  19. I might build ships in space, to keep overall part count lower with a proven and stable rocket rather then building a custom (and unproven) rocket for a given payload.
  20. Pic is up and I checked the intake air, it's at 0.03 as far as I can see.
  21. Background info So I recently built a new SSTO, capping at 970 parts and 310 tons at the start of the runway. It has so far managed 41km altitude and 2100m/s. The question: At 40km(!) I suffered a total loss of control what-so-ever. Any kind of input was unresponsive, sending the plane in a nose-dive until I returned back down under 40km altitude. Any idea why this happened? My check-list: - Plenty of electricity. - Plenty of fuel. - Engines running. - Control surfesses are online. - Plane is stable. - SAS is active. - Intakes online. Conclusion: Kraken is lurking? Edit: I did notice the thermal-fire/McGuffins you experience during re-entry/SSTO accent was absent.
