You also ACTIVATED all the antennas BEFORE separating the probes, correct?
-

I just downloaded Avionix's pack as a test, which I believe is one of the biggest downloads on SD... It took 30-40secs, with a rock steady 1.9-2.1 MB/s, which is my absolute maximum internet speed... I'm pretty sure I ALWAYS pretty much get these speeds when downloading from SD... As to the site loading times, sometimes its a second or two, sometimes its over a minute... I know you @VITAS said your concern was the opposite, but from MY side, I would like to see site load times increase... As always, THANX for SD...

Actually, it seems for me, anyway, that the site sometimes takes a minute or more to load... whereas the DOWNLOAD speeds are fine for me... I'll try to remember to watch actual speeds during my few next downloads...

[1.0.5] * Rocket Factory * - LeBeau Space Industries
Stone Blue replied to RaendyLeBeau's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
@RaendyLeBeau I also hope you didnt take my comment as negative toward you... I TOTALLY realise it can take LOTS of precious time to make a mod, especially a parts mod on the scale of this one... (I've tried making a few relatively simple parts of my own, and I've put in over 100 hours of actual time already (granted, most of it was learning basic modelling)... I have nothing but respect for someone who can get even a very small mod done, much less all these HUGE parts packs, and HUGELY complicated (but perfectly working) plugins that are out there... However, I will say there is also a balance to be made... When someone is developing a parts mod, theres a point where it seems to be a bit much, to have months, or even years, already spent, with MUCH discussion on a long development thread, and to be 95% done with the mod, and to keep holding out on even a test release, for weeks or even months more... Again, I realise it takes TIME to develop a mod, and to develop it RIGHT... However, if you are developing a large parts pack, hyping it and expecting people to wait so long for it, you're going to end up with many people discouraged and put off, and have their enthusiasm wane... Thats just human nature... Now is that YOUR problem?... NO... Developers owe NOTHING to other game players... Again, I realise it takes time to make a big mod, and to get everything right... However, maybe it would be a good idea to plan what parts to do, in groups, get them (relatively) done, and then pre-release them in steps as alpha releases... I would see the benefits of this as, one, it gives people a chance to try out the mod, without having to wait so long with nothing but hope... Another, it gives the developer a chance to get feedback and bug reports early, and in smaller "bunches", rather than getting them all at once, on a large pack, on a full release... Also, I would think releasing a little at a time, and getting that feedback, could be a good motivator to finish the mod, and to maybe get insight on new directions to make it even better... I'm sure there are negatives to this also, however... Hence, a balance... Anyway, there's MANY variables to consider for a developer, so like I said, theres a balance to be found... And unfortunately, not everyone can always be happy with the result... I DO look forward to your mod release, as I do ALL potentially good, interesting, awesome mods... In any case, please dont let ANY words from me discourage you...I dont always say the best thing, or even manage to say it in the best way, even if it is a good thing I'm trying to say... lol -

Stone Blue replied to alexustas's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
@StahnAileron So what exactly isnt working with this mod? I'm running v0.8 on 1.0.5, and it seems to work fine...??... Although I dont remember if I had to fix the attachment nodes or not... lol I've even been using them with TweakScale with no issues -
@dueb I sent Canadabear links to a working download

[1.0.5] * Rocket Factory * - LeBeau Space Industries
Stone Blue replied to RaendyLeBeau's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Yes... Also anxiously awaiting this release... At least this one is only less than 4 months, unlike others that have been in-development and hyped for over a year, with NO alpha or pre-releases at all... Unfortunately, it seems my motto has become "Why do today, what you can put off till tomorrow..." LOL -
[1.3.0] Filter Extensions 3.0.4 (Jul 11)
Stone Blue replied to Crzyrndm's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sorry if this has already been asked before, but has anyone made a patch to put ALL the stock, Squad parts into ONE manufacturer tab? Kind of annoying when I have LOTS of parts mods with stockalike parts, and I cant tell what is ACTUALLY stock now, not to mention the LONG list of tabs I have to scroll thru, because the Squad parts are split up between A LOT of different manufacturers... -
Most mods for KSP pre-1.0, need to have the attachment nodes edited in the part .cfg files, to work in v1.0 and up. Not hard to do, just tedious if there are lots of parts, and/or lots of attachment nodes. Basically, just polarity changes on the 5th or 6th number in the node definition. OR, IIRC, there is a checkbox somehwere in the debug menu (Alt+F12), for enforcement of node direction/polarity... Something like that...

[1.12.x] Connected Living Space v2.0.2.0 (12 Feb 2022)
Stone Blue replied to Papa_Joe's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
OK... The way you had it worded, and my slip in reading comprehension, I thought BOTH files were removed (implying support for the parts was removed all together)... But thanks for the clarification on the filenames.. Thats a good bit to know for future reference... -

[1.8.x] In game notes / notepad / checklist v0.16 2019/10/23
Stone Blue replied to agises's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@agises OK... I see the issue: Most of my RPM IVAs are ASET or from other mods... I only get this mod working (so far) in the basic, stock RPM IVAs... Unfortunately I rarely use any of those... I looked around, but I dont know enough about .cfgs, MM, and RPM to try modifying anything... Despite that, I cant believe this mod has been around so long, seemingly (relatively) issue free, obviously well supported, fully featured, but hasnt gotten more love from the community... EDIT: Actually, it looks like Notes is throwing exceptions when I try to Load Selected File... I'll add logs presently -
[1.8.x] In game notes / notepad / checklist v0.16 2019/10/23
Stone Blue replied to agises's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@agises SO I just installed this mod, and it seems to work OK...EXCEPT, I'm not seeing how to use it in any of the RPM displays in IVA... ?? This is on Linux, KSP 1.0.5 64bit... -
@agises So I installed this mod, and everything seems to work...Right up to the point where NO image is displayed... I had several .pngs in te folder... Thought maybe they need to be .jpg, so I converted one.. Still no go... Any ideas? This is on Linux, 64bit KSP... (I assume it worx on Linux, since it looks like linuxgurugamer (who IIRC, plays KSP on Linux quite a bit? lol), got it working...

[1.2.1] AnyRes v1.4.1 - Closer and closer to Unity 4.6 UI
Stone Blue replied to a topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oooo... Nice! This will definately beat having to exit & restart the game... Hmmm... I wonder if it will work with Multi-monitor Screen Space -
No, not rude.. Fusebox icon should work the same, with EITHER Blizzy's OR stock toolbar... Sorry, eberkain & I got slightly OT... I originally mentioned Blizzy's Toolbar, because its another mod, itself, it adds one more element that can cause odd behaviour... But it worx with Fusebox for me, and I assume many others. So I was implying that it shouldnt necessarily be Blizzy's causing the issue, IF that were the toolbar you were using... (You didnt originally specify ) Sorry I cant offer much help... Fusebox is really a pretty simple mod, and is SUPPOSED to activate/deactivate with just the toolbar icon (either toolbar ).. If you have installed it correctly, I would think something else must be causing your issue... No offense, but it IS working fine for many people, in 1.0.5... All I can suggest would be to to read thru the release thread, to see if anyone else has mentioned this issue, or upload copies of your logs, and post the links, and your issue on the release thread... Maybe someone can find something in your logs...

[1.12.x] Connected Living Space v2.0.2.0 (12 Feb 2022)
Stone Blue replied to Papa_Joe's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
My post, a few posts up the page: -
PLUS, you can have more than one toolbar, and put them in different parts of the screen. AND you can put them along the screen edge, and you can have them hide, till you mouse over them. AND you can organize different icons into different "folders" @KocLobster I assume you've tried a fresh reinstall?... Maybe your Fusebox config.xml got messed up, or something ???
-
@skykooler Any news on this? Does it at least work for any post-1.0 KSP release?
-
I agree, adding an installation mechanism to the site, doesnt seem it would be productive. I just dont see the point in needing something to automatically install mods. I dont see how extracting files from a .zip file, into a single, standard, KSP folder cant get any easier. While CKAN may be a nice piece of software, I think its caused a lot of problems as well. I think all you would need, would be something that can check your currently installed mod versions, and just notifies you if they need updating. Which, we basically already have in AVC.
