Yes I've been looking at that chart . I'm not getting a new machine as income isn't that flexible. DDR2 is basically pointless now your saying. I am not running 64-bit but I do have the capability. I'll be updating as well as adding more memory. LAST QUESTION: Should I see high/medium/no change if I update to 64-bit and add more storage? Thanks all, you've been extremely useful.

CPU Performance Database
HafCoJoe replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I have no data to give but I have system stats I hope you can answer 3 questions on. After reading I see that AMD (which I have a video card from) underperforms. Where exactly on the list of standings would I be (if this is answerable)? More importantly, I have no more room for RAM (4GB max in vostro 230's according to online polls), but how much would switching to 64 bit improve run time? And how much would getting a bigger hard drive improve KSP? I have only 24GB free. I STREAM KSP. How much would additional memory and 64 bit improve FPS on OBS streaming and recording in general? -
Please add! from my aerospace page: Ptarmigan complete science SSTO Easy to fly, easy to land, and good looking to the eyes. This model is quite the miracle in the eyes of the Kerbals flying it xD I loved making this ship and I hope you love flying it. This craft is extremely good at what is is designed for. It can easily get to orbit and holds strong with few tweaks at physics warp 4. The burning effect looks pretty sick too Ptarmigan SSTO

The New Stock Repository Version 0.21

oops - snipped - -
So what I see is I should upgrade plain CPU memory. 4GB of ram is plenty for my system (and 4GB could be all it can take). That's great news! I was already planning on getting a second hard drive adding another 200 GB. Thanks all. I won't be switching to 64 bit for a while so upgrading either RAM, Video card (which this on is only 2 months old and should be good), or memory are my options. Memory is the easiest to add and looks like what you all suggest. Keep discussing though. I want to see all your reasons why its better.

Yeah I do this too. Random question. On Eve, do open chutes provide more drag and thus slow your speed more than on Kerbin? I've found parachute landings to be easier/slower on Eve.

Awesome and Awesome again! Lol scanner. I know what you mean. Suggestion - Add more color depth to the gray. The thing I liked most about your previous pictures (namely the mun landing) was the touch-down cloud. - The way you put an outline of the terrain inside the blast cloud but left the rest blank looked extremely good. The thin line of terrain behind the blast. Your touchdowns look phenomenal. ] The solar panel debris in the Jool/Vall shot was nice too. Shadowing. Always shadowing! - And greeble (the stuff that you add to just make things more detailed and spacey [spoiler=Greeble example One more suggestion would be to take user content suggestions if you run out of ideas. Namely this : ] (I sorta suggest this because panels but mainly because I'm greedy. You've already done a Vall shot so do if you want idc.)Really though, on the general side of things, suggestions from people are probably good ways of improving and getting new content. Hope this was useful! .

Yeah like everyone else is saying, that button is used to view all the ships you've renamed to be a base. Right click on a ships pod or probe core and you can set the ship to be "debris", "base", "probe"... The button in the tracking station views all the vessels you've renamed as a base or whatever other vessel you've named to be whatever other button you click on. Hope this helps Later.

The way KSP is currently set, there isn't any statement of achievement. You get more science and unlock more pieces but it doesn't give a statement like "Congratulations! You just made your first orbit. Now do some science!" like other sandbox games such as spore does. That's one reason I've seen that new users are so confused. I mean, you get points for doing something but it doesn't announce with any certainty that that's whats supposed to happen or what to do next. Anyways back on topic... Yeah age has no relation. Only interest.

Heh. I'm 17. KSP is meant for everyone with the attention span . I started playing when I was around 13-14 with the demo v0.13 and stopped for maybe 2 years after barely landing on the mun (without landing gear at this point). Again the game is for anyone who has the patience.

[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts
HafCoJoe replied to Redrobin's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
This one I did a while ago but I still impressed myself with the craft. From my aerospace page: Kestrel This is easily the most maneuverable of all planes I've built. Have fun flying this thing around the VAB or launching missiles into the tower! Kestrel Kestrel - with external fuel tank Kestrel Fighter I hope you like -
Better feet! And hands!

[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
HafCoJoe replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ok so when I first played, I thought the cloud line as you pass through it looks really bad. So I found a way to fix it! Set all the cloud textures to 95% more transparent: Still has clouds though their more like a light cloud covering. -
Yes! And it is fun!

Quick question. To remove the City lights (I prefer to believe they all live underground or some stupid shenanigans), would I just delete citylights.dll?
