Hello TheL3mur! I didn't expect you here on the forums as well as on stream! Yes it is sadly. It cannot be helped until the TextureReplacer reflections plugin fixes it though, as that is what this mod uses to make reflections. We have to wait and hope.

The cloudlets should be in one of the Kopernicus config files. You can locate and remove the line for any cloud to remove it. I only did it once and it was more of fiddling around until I got it to vanish so I sadly don't have more instruction than this. It also might be in EVE.

I removed them and it didn't improve FPS. The drop is most likely from other portions sadly.

I actually went from an AMD 8 core FX processor which clocked at 3.5GHz to an i5-6500 which clocks at 3.2GHz with 4 cores. It runs faster and at a much better temperature. Sometimes core clock is slightly less important. - Depends on what you're doing.

That um... wow... Taking my breath a way PingoPete . -
Well, I'm not sure if many of you are pcpartpicker fans but if you have an account, my brother made an insane guide for a $2000 computer with a custom cooling block with a 980 Ti and Intel 6700k. If only I had a spare $1999.84 XD You should give him an updoot for me if you have an account. http://pcpartpicker.com/guide/pWKH99/msi-build-your-dream-pc-guide-gaming-underwater-full-custom-loop 'aight that's it.

[KSP v1.1.3] Stock Bug Fix Modules (Release v1.1.3b.1 - 10 Jul 16)
HafCoJoe replied to Claw's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Good to hear you're getting up to speed. - Indeed now that you're officially on payroll you most likely will have much less time to focus on your personal projects. It very well could be a spread out problem - if it takes more time than you deem it worth then I'm sure there's more important things to work on. Good to know you find this "feature" annoying too though. I'm betting at least a few of your Stock Plus additions could be worth making stock (like parachute spread or speed/heat warning lights). It could be that your dream of KSP becoming un-bugged enough for it to not need Stock Bug Fix might come true. Well, one can hope ^-^ -
[KSP v1.1.3] Stock Bug Fix Modules (Release v1.1.3b.1 - 10 Jul 16)
HafCoJoe replied to Claw's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Claw I just thought of another very useful feature you could add to stock plus. - Disabling "control from here" functions on parts - including preventing going IVA changing control to the capsule you're looking out of. It would probably be a button labeled something like "Toggle control". It's really annoying launching planes/cars with cockpits mounted vertically (I.E. landers/VTOLs) and swapping view to a forward facing cockpit (l.E. planes) re-orients view. I understand why it was done this way, but it can really throw me off when I'm flying a shuttle from an angled probe core and going IVA swaps to an unusable orientation. Would this be an easy/worthy enough addition? -
Very true words. I've been debating what to do with EVE/KSPRC for a bit of time as I haven't updated this since KSPRC v0.5 came out. It'll be doing a slight rewrite of this to accommodate for it if it's FPS hit is negligible.
-
Sounds good - I'll host them. Convenient actually as now all the compatibility packs will be in the same folder in my dropbox. Yay for organization! EDIT: Re-hosted. I hope this works well for you guys!

Well, removing surface textures tends to do quite a bit... Same with removing clouds... There aren't any easy cuts to make sadly. The one thing I never remove is texturereplacer and all of it's textures.

Woah! Congrats man!

Well, I've officially started work on new career crafts - As soon as your next release comes out I'll be making another heavy visual install w/ KSPRC as it's crown. I hope the FPS is nice - I may end up removing some of the more intensive portions of KSPRC to get it to run even faster. I've done it in the past with good results.

Take your time man - Dr. Turkey was saying that he worked 20 out of 24 hours in the past day... I hope you aren't working that hard . That sounds crazy to me. Like they always say - Only make others do what you'd be happy doing yourself.

It's funny, I'd actually be perfectly happy if everything ran in 1/2 speed and had 24-30 FPS. Conserving FPS is my goal.

@Proot, just taking a guess, is it the new surface textures that create the most lag? I know there are a number of important features that create lag but is it the surface textures that create the most?

KSPRC is a very intensive mod to run. It could very well be that the crashes are being caused just because of this. If you have more specific info like if the game crashes less when removing a certain aspect of KSPRC that could be useful info for Proot to know. Other than that I don't have much to say sadly :/

One thing you'll want to note is that the Hammer SRB has it's plume coming from dead center in the piece. I fixed it on my own in the past but I can't recall what the needed offset is. You can see the error in this image: I hope this album is useful
