That's sadly going to be around for a while. It's a known issue with Shaw's reflection plugin. They don't play nicely with the window light shaders. Check known issues before posting I'm very glad to hear it's working though!

Proot, your genius never ceases to amaze. Also your diagram skills are quite good too! That's pretty much the same hopes I had with the lightning being brought back. Your bottom alignment idea is fantastic, and would definitely make tiling very hard to see, as well as making upper cloud levels have more height variation. Perhaps tying the cloud scale factor with a height displacement. Once again though my lack of knowledge doesn't help out with how. -

A universal system for both lighting and shadows. Sounds streamlined :). I was going to say, your reboot has pretty much all the features of the original at this point, or the equivalent has already been done in a different mod. I think lightning is the only thing that isn't in the reboot. It wasn't a pretty method in old EVE either hehe. -

It could be as well that it would tilt everything in it's SOI by the same amount, so that everything remains uniform. It would be the unlucky people with a craft just about to enter another SOI who would have minor trouble.

Feel free to link me when you're finished - I'd hate to miss your new post! - It's kind of funny actually. I've already got a boatload of stored textures which I've had to keep to myself for this project. I won't distribute anything I've modified.

I hope so - I sadly can't code at all so I'm not really the one to answer this . Just texture editing and config writing. @RangeMachine was able to get some progress done on fixing the visor reflections though, so I definitely think it's coming back. I'm not sure if anything has changed with TR configs in U5, but yes you can weaken the strength of the reflection. I wrote the configs for WindowShine and relied a lot on this to make the reflections nicer. You can open up the configs and take a peek on how to change the reflection strength.

It would be easy to land at the poles as they would hardly spin and sit very close to the solar plane. Asteroid mechanics wouldn't change. Getting into an equatorial orbit would be... interesting

It doesn't - it screws up the navball and coodrinate gets too I think. It's pretty much the biggest lack of orbital mechanics still in the game though :/

Currently in KSP every single celedtial body orbits on a perfectly level plane. I think it would be interesting if this was changed for most planets to add an additional challenge, but in the meantime I think it would be a nice suggestion to add to Dres. It would make it quite a bit more unique and perhaps make it a more visited location.

Hmm... well, it turns out I've been needing a new suit texture for an upcoming cinematic. You can read up on it here if you want too. It's been in the work for at least a year now and filming should hopefully start after 1.2. Would you be okay if I end up using your textures? It's still just a "maybe", but I do have to say they look quite fantastic from those screenshots.
