I really like this truck! Reminds me of Euro Truck Sim. It's really detailed! It also has a really strong parking brake!
-
I added a new video! Hopefully this will better show the mechanics of this beast.

Great Idea! I'm on it. I might make a giant grabber claw using a Mk3 Cargo bay to load it with junk too. Something needs to take all those launch-pad debris to the dump?

Introducing... The KELAZ-47 Ton (100% Stock) Dump-Truck The Kelaz-47 is a heavy dump truck capable of carrying more than twice it's own weight. It's also a 100% stock 280 part Mega-Truck. No mods required! But Jon... You have made hundreds of "Mega-Trucks" before! What's different and why should I care about this one? Well first, this truck is the first I have made that features an all new differential that allows wheels on each side of the vehicle spin independent from each-other. This gives the truck a tighter turning radius than those before that used welded differentials. There are two different methods that you can use to steer the vehicle. You can press buttons 1 and 2 to toggle reverse thrust on the truck's engines. You can use this to turn slowly, but if you need to make a much tighter and responsive turn you can use action groups 3 and 4 to lock the mechanical brakes on different sides of the vehicle. Using the independent differential you can lock one side of wheels while letting the other wheels continue to turn, rotating the vehicle even at a near to dead stop. The funnest part about this craft is the giant hydraulic powered bucket. To use it simply switch to it following decoupling and press the G key to toggle the gear used as the hydraulic piston. Unfortunately I have not yet built a vehicle to load it, but that can be up to you! Download it here! https://www.dropbox.com/s/42fbs06euas1bnh/Kelaz-47T.craft?dl=0 Enjoy!

Will you have any use for a new mega-sized dump truck? Just a random question.

Looking for low-part-count and stock millitary tank
Jon144 replied to Kerbalmann's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I think that you will be pleased. -
That's really impressive!

Yes. This is necessary to get rid of the heat that the heat that sepratrons generate. Without them they will melt the turret when they fire lol.

[Stock Craft] UniRoller (SPORT) 1.0.5
Jon144 replied to Jon144's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I added an all new sport version! Now this Uni-Roller has a top speed of 30 M/S and will probably destroy itself in overdrive. Enjoy! -
First! How long did it take you to edit that photo? It is probably one of your best. No idea what a forest camo Jagdtiger would be doing in the desert though. This is an excellent craft for your return.

[Broken in 1.0.5] "Kerlantis" NASA Space Shuttle Replica

Yeah don't question that bearing! It's actually a super old one from last year. I tried making a new one for it but found that one worked perfectly. So it was worth it's outdated design. And as you say there's a lot of unnecessary parts... You should download and try the original. It's all about perspective! Its about 100 parts less than the original. Its parts are as lowered as possible without starting over entirely. And I work in full stock KSP so I can't use the no offsets.
-
Certainly not my prettiest but still. These are what I make when i'm bored.

It's completely redesigned but built off of the base of Zeke's design. I had been working on this for a LONG time. But I never released it. Now I made something good out of what he started. It wasn't worth completely starting over in this case because cosmetically I at least and don't think anyone else can rival the original cosmetics of this tank. Now it actually works in the ways you would have expected the originals to. Anyways if you think i'm not doing anything new with my hinges think again! This is just giving people a teaser.

Pz.KPfw. VI Ausf. E - Tiger I (Early Production) Designers: Zekes and Jon144 The Tiger was one of the best known tanks of all time. It was a German Heavy Tank of World War II. 1300 were built, and amassed a staggering 10:1 kill ratio in combat. What is different about this re-release of a legend? Originally designed by Zekes but has been updated and improved to work and function with KSP version 1.0.5 The last release of the Zokesian Tiger 1 had a faulty poor rotating turret as pointed out by MajorJim. This "144" version comes with one of my own custom designed rotors to guarantee a smoother and more reliably slewing turret. The overall part-count of the replica has been reduced to 505 parts. This still sounds like a lot but is a huge reduction from the original. It should be able to run better on lower end computers. Be advised though that this thing is heavy and huge. To avoid glitchiness and possible structural failure make sure to drive this replica carefully. Although being almost completely re-designed structurally great care went into preserving Zeke's astounding cosmetic job. You shouldn't be able to see obvious differences from the outside.
