  1. Sure, go ahead. That means the next player will be on team 1.
  2. Ok, I've set-up the team tank battle and placed my tanks. As of now, I am the first set-up, and I'm on team 1 of 2. The next player will be on team 2 of 2, then the next player after him/her will be on team 1, until a pair of balanced teams is fully setup in-save. Rules: Standard, plus: -2 tanks: -1 light (roughly ten tons or less in terms of mass, and this is a semi-flexible rule), and one medium*. *Each team may have one player with a "heavy" tank instead of a medium one.* -Tanks must be placed at least 3km away from other player's tanks before the combat starts. -The last player to place their tanks goes first. -Flipped tanks may be righted by teammates during that teammate's turn, without losing a turn. -No K-exploit weapons (i.e. Kraken "plasma", -drives, bombs, etc.) Player List: -Me -Zamo -astecarmyman -SuperHappySquid -daemonCaptrix -Spartwo will join if he can, as he's quite busy. My tanks: -1x MU LAT-1 V2, callsign Funco (Light) -1x MU MBT-3 A2 w/ spec ops kit and Cruise TOW, callsign Ichiroku (Medium) Map: Mark your tanks once you've set up. .persist: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cvtq924hjhitoog/NBC-IslandWarfare.sfs?dl=0 SuperHappySquid, you're up. - - - Updated - - - Also, I did some weapon upgrades on my tanks... A LAT-1 V2 firing a mini-HEAT round for a range test... An MU Cruise TOW zeroes in on its target, boost system primed and ready...
  3. List of players for the team tank battle ATM: -Me -Zamo -astecarmyman -Spartwo might be in, depending on how long setup takes, as he's really busy. -SuperHappySquid *daemon has not replied to my PM yet* In any case, I'll set up this afternoon/evening when I get a chance, and here's how the moves will take place^ The first player set up is Team 1, second is Team 2, third Team 1, etc. The last player set up (who will be likely on team 2) moves first, along the lines of the standard battle rules on page 1. Players will then take turns in reverse order, eventually cycling back to the last player, until one team is clearly the winner. This is a TDM style battle, so the goal is simple: take out the other team's tanks. To help make this simpler, I ask that when you set up your tanks ingame, please remember to add a (T1) or (T2) at the end of each of your tank's names.
  4. Duct-tape it to you SWAT service weapon. Wagon 87: Skeleton rave central.
  5. Hmm... I don't know how many want in on this. I believe between you, Zamo, me, Daemon, Zekes, SuperHappySquid, and maybe Spartwo that we'd probably wind up doing a 3v3. Can't confirm though... Perhaps one light, and one med/heavy per each player? EDIT: PMed all who I listed above who aren't 100% confirmed to be in. EDIT V2: List of players ATM: -Me -Zamo -astecarmyman -Spartwo might be in, depending on how long setup takes, as he's really busy. -
  6. Ok, though we may need to re-balance teams before starting. I'm thinking around KSC 2 or another interesting locale on Kerbin... lemme take a VTOL out for a spin, and I'll find a good area. EDIT!: I may have found a suitable candidate for a battlefield: It's on Kerbin, and is completely isolated from the other landmasses. The island (which I've dubbed "Jeb's Pirate Island") also has a small lake, slightly varied terrain, and a cool terrain-scatter forest. So, what do you guys think? As for rules, I think 2-3 players per team, with 4 tanks each. (Besides normal NBC rules in the OP) -2 Light (smaller tanks, like the Maverick, LAT-1, Stub, etc.) -1 Medium (mid-size tanks like the MBT-3A2, Maelstrom, etc.) -1 Large/Heavy (anything that's not a P1000 Ratte. I'm looking at you, Zekes. ) I can't do much more tonight, as I'm awfully busy IRL. Tomorrow, I'll see if I can setup my tanks provided ya'll are OK with this. ALSO: coords for a central dropzone via hyperedit: 31.7 : 11
  7. I'll see if I can, if I have time. :/
  8. I'll shoot you a direct link shortly, but it should be in the DL folder linked under "MU Surface Hardware" on the first page of my company thread. (Thread link in my sig) EDIT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/phosjcjbrbheoxg/MU%20LAT-1.craft?dl=0
  9. Sure, the LAT-1 can be downloaded from my company thread. (The MT-90 with it isn't up yet, but it will be soon.)
  10. It clocks in at 8.4 tons (it says 9 tons in the SPH due to the attached crew pod for loading the turret seat). - - - Updated - - -
  11. One thing I will say is to continually check your CoM and CoL, especially if the dropship has a horizontal flight mode.
  12. Dropped a tank through the roof of the VAB using a VTOL: the tank survived to tell the tale!
  13. That looks amazing! Can't wait to see the result. I've been working on a new VTOL, the MU MT-90 Dropship. I've also been working on a set of payloads for it to carry, like one of my LAT-1 Coyote tanks, and a science buoy for Laythe. I'm up for suggestions when it comes to other potential cargoes to release with the VTOL. And yes, the tank survived being dropped THROUGH the VAB.
  14. "I'm tired of these kotha******' tanks, on these kotha******' planes!"-Samuel L. Kerman, Tanks on a Plane Also, while testing, the LAT-1 survived being dropped onto the VAB hard enough to destroy it.
  15. Yeah, plus the overall requirements of having a practical tank sort of make that overall chassis layout a good one for smaller units. I might rework the (non-rotating, since rotors can drastically boost part count) turret on the LAT-1, to give it a bit more aesthetic appeal.
  16. It's technically not MP, but turn-based. Basically, it works like this: One of the two players battling sets up a save with their craft hyper-edited into orbit around a planet, then posts the save. Then the other player DLs the save file, loads it, sets up their ships, and takes their turn. In one turn, the player whose turn it is takes their lowest-mass ship, targets a hostile vessel, moves to within 2.5 km of their target, and attacks with their weapons (no cheats or ramming allowed!). Once they've either expended their ship's ammo, done a satisfactory amount of damage to the enemy ship, or destroyed the enemy ship, then saves the game and puts the save up for the other player to DL and take their turn. Ships are almost always moved in order of lightest-to-heaviest, by mass, and the best way to share craft files is through a cloud hosting service like Dropbox or Mediafire. If you wish, I'll battle you to help you learn. You up for it?
  17. Well, I just checked over my tanks, completing the new designs while upgrading the MBT-3 (for practicality reasons). Meet the MBT-3A2, the HT-1 Crusader, and the LAT-1 Coyote: The MBT-3A2 features minor modifications from the standard model, as well as an improved recoil stabilizer system. The LAT-1 is a fun little Light Assault Tank that carries up to three individual munitions on its set of hardpoints. And now, for something awesome: The HT-1 Crusader, a heavy tank! Tanks rock.
  18. I'm out of town ATM, but I'll get my tanks up the second I can. (I also need to finish my scout tank ) I will say that if we're doing this with teams, that I'll join whichever team needs a player to balance out the game. Also, as Zekes has said (and I have experience with from an old battle with Daemon), the Pyramids region is rediculously mountainous. I'd recommend having the battle either in and around one of Kerbin's river valleys, or at KSC 2.
  19. Zamo, I'm interested in a tank battle. I just need to complete my light and heavy tanks. The light one it likely going to be somewhat more like a UGV and a tank having an unholy baby, while my heavier model is going to be based off of the Merkava MBT.
  20. Most aesthetically pleasing? Or perhaps most creative use of parts?
  21. Sorry to hear that you're leaving. Are you still finishing the render requests? In any case, good luck with your stuff man, and I hope to see ya back here this summer!
  22. I'd recommend taking a look at the designs of modern-day MBTs and other armored vehicles, as the weight distribution and such helps tremendously when it comes to KSP design. In any case, the tank looks good, though the top cabin looks kinda easy to shoot out. - - - Updated - - - Is anyone willing to battle me out at Pol... anyone? :/
  23. So... while I go make some naval vessels, is anyone up for a battle? I was thinking: /pol/ (), 3 ships, max tonnage per ship is 200, no K-drive, -bomb, -etc., and landing is allowed if you can pull it off. Ships would be 2 light, 1 heavy. Standard rules would also apply. I'll set up if someone wants to go first.
