  1. Someone did a better looking water mod? Can you post a link?
  2. Thanks all for the replies. It's happening nearly every time I orbit the Mun and try to make a maneuver node. It is ruining my ability to do anything on or at the Mun. They need to make this high priority and work on a fix. If I Understand correctly the only way to fix is to abort the mission?
  3. I don't what happened, but I was trying to take readings around the Mun and needed to adjust my orbit, and like always I click the orbit to make a new maneuver node, drag out one of the pones get it set to where I want, release mouse and *poof!* it disappears. Anyone know what might be going on?
  4. I'm having this problem. I click to make a maneuver node around the Mun, when I release the mouse the trajectory and node disappears. Help!
  5. How do I level up my scientist if I've already collected all the biome data around kerbin?
  6. Maybe I am misinterpreting what the scientist does? It says +100% for science. I assumed that meant they got double science. But maybe it just means they can transmit science for no loss?
  7. I have not had any satellite contracts yet but will watch out for them. My rep is pretty high and the missions I'm getting are really hard for me.
  8. I don't see the 64-bit executable as a separate option in the launcher, the bottom one is the 32-bit one now. Want to be sure when I launch default now it is indeed 64-bit? Also, in 50 hours of 64-bit beta NOT A SINGLE CRASH. Pretty impressive, though I am on the low side of tech and attachments.
  9. Have to agree with Sethur though I'm not sure its compression. The music levels are all over the place.
  10. If I put the scientist in the MK1 Crew cabin, when I run temperature, barometer scans etc will I still get 100% extra science? Or does he actually have to be in a cockpit or command pod? Thanks!
  11. Ohhhhh interesting! Is there a place where I can see how many reputation points I have? I see a bar that has a mix of rep/money/science but I can't get any good details out of it since it's mostly green. Or am I reading that bar wrong? Have I screwed myself then? Very early I grabbed "Unpaid Research Program" because I thought itt would always sacrifice a little reputation in return for research points. My contracts are kind of middling. I'm so new to the campaigns I don't know if these are good for money or not? For instance right now I have one that says I can ferry 4 people around orbit for a combined $40k. There is no longer an advance on this, and the craft will cost me $20k, so a $20k profit doesn't seem to great. I have unlocked all tier 4 level science, Have just 2 buildings upgraded, and have $500k in bank. I have 40 science right now. It says if I wanted to do "Leadership Initiative" it would cost a whopping 73 research points. 15 command pointgs, and $36k. Should I stay with Unpaid Research Program? or dump it and just swap command for research when I need it? Also, when you use Reputation for science or money swap, does that mean your contracts will get worse? Also, where does it actually show the number of reputation points I have? Thanks a ton for your help!
  12. Oh I'm sorry, it's "Reputation" and is signified by the star icon. I'm playing version beta 1.1 And I really am not sure I"m understanding the Administration Building stuff. I am short on money and science. I've got unpaid Research Program going but am not sure it's doing anything for me, or if it's worth it. Or if I even should be using it. Thanks so much! You guys are amazing!
  13. Sorry this is probably a real dumb question. I think command points are experience for the kerbals? But I can't seem to figure out how to see how much Command points have, nor can I seem to be able to get my scientist any. What should I be doing with Command Points? Thanks!
  14. I don't have a lot of the parts posted in the pic above. The Probe bomber sounds perfect. Can you post a pic? Keep in mind I only have level 4 technology unlocked.
  15. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. It has been so long since I played. I have a very high end system and I used to have a mod that made Kerbin, Mun and all the textures look amazing. Can someone direct me to one or a few? Also, if mods are made for old version, will they still work with the 64-bit version? Thanks community!
  16. I have a mission that is kicking my butt. There is a set of 3 EVA report I (all same mission) have to do on other side of world near north pole. How do you get yr space flight so perfect so y can land on/or near the spots? A craft design idea would be great, and instruction on how to do this as I've now tried 30 times and failed each time. These are missions that have the little footprints on them on the radar. Thanks for any in depth help people can give me! -Jeff
  17. It has been a year and a half since I played the game so all this career stuff is new to me. What I don't understand is why I can't click an orbital path to set burn time to change orbital trajectories and such. When I click to double click anywhere on the orbital line nothing happens. Is this because I have not upgraded a up,ding or unlocked some tech? Thanks. edit - term I was looking for was "maneuver node". There is none... I'm using 1.1
  18. Looks excellent. I like that snowy mountain peak on the brown moon. Natasha would look fabulous with clouds. Look at how the Urania pack incorporates them.
  19. Unless one uses clouds and science defines. Then they need to be stitched together. Since there's no harm for including entries not used in the science defines we should use the community version and have all new planet packs build off the same master. The same goes for the cloud defines. Since Urania has the most entries already, maybe each solar system designer should add their cloud defines to his file. If done in order, like Porry first, then Yaeha, then Cooly etc, we would not have to run different version of the game to get the full effects.
  20. In my testing/editing with different planet packs often it works just fine, and other times it does not.
