  1. Orionkermin - can you post some pictures or do you have a video showing your setup? I'm very bad at visualization without pics. Thanks!
  2. Also, looks like I've got a lot of tech to unlock before I get to this.
  3. Sweet, I actually have that installed. Can anyone tell what parts are in the middle that the science parts are stuck to?
  4. So far my talents for KSP amount to attaching junk to the outside of my rocket to conduct science. Not only does it look bad, but parts break off on re-entry and I'm sure it's hurting my aerodynamic quality as I use FAR. Is there a stock way I can clean these up with only about 40% of the tech tree researched? If not stock, what mods might help? I have KSP Rocketry and a bunch more.
  5. I desperately hope Squad can get us over the memory limit. I'm at a point where I have to pass up mods because I'm maxed out and some of my missions, once competed, crashes the program. Thankfully when I reload, the Kerbals and the landed vehicles are still there. I just mention this, because so much amazing texture work and I have to miss half of it.
  6. Dang Maybe tell them you're working for the good of Mankind err Kerbalkind.
  7. Grounded? What does that mean? You're out of bandwidth?
  8. This worked beautifully. Ferram I can't thank you enough as not only do my rockets work right now, but I learned something new that will make the game so much more fun (tweaking engines and fins and stuff).
  9. Wow, I had no idea about the gear button. I thought that was just for wheels on airplanes. Learn something new everyday. Thanks all! BTW - I did have them all placed via symmetry so I was basically doing it the hard way.
  10. What does the "Explorer" probe look like? I'm just using science for the moment since I ran out of RAM in this build, but will use everything in my next one.
  11. OK I got the chutes to deploy properly Yippee! Ok, so what do Predep Time and Dep Time do specifically?
  12. Ohhh before launch. Cool! That will solve my problem. What do the bottom 2 settings do? ie. Predep Time & Dep Time. Is one for how long it takes for the ropes to go out and the parachute to expand? If so, what happens if I crank them up to like 10 or down to 0? Thanks for all the help and Stupid Chris - thank you for such an amazing mod! You do great work!
  13. I don't know what happened between my last .22 build vs. this .23 one with more mods. When I'm falling back to Kerbin and on the parachute, I have 3 lander legs for my tall rocket. When I right click a lander leg, only one extends at a time instead of all 3 like before. How can I fix this? Thanks for the help!
  14. Wow, learning something new everyday. So now I need to figure out this tweakables thing
  15. How are tweakables accessed? StupidChris - the file you want... it's massive. Can I just delete that file to have the game start a fresh one?
  16. I was wondering about that. Glad to know so I can delete those.
  17. Oh I forgot to mention I have the S-9000 science capsule underneath and lander legs so I'm a lot taller than just the capsule. No tweaks. Here's a picture: <<edit>> I'll try and replicate another crash to give you an output. <<edit 2>> OK here's the output log.
  18. I'm having a bit of an issue I can't figure out. I had the gimble rocket motor on this rocket and was getting wobble when I got up to speed. Then I added fins and I still had it. Then I removed the gimbled rocket motor so I just had fins, and I still have the same wobble when using SAS. Do I need reaction wheel thingie to fix this? You can see at low speed it's fine, then higher speed it's bad, and when I cut the video off as I nearly entered space it stops wobbling again. Thanks for the help! I turn SAS on and off so you can see it better.
  19. I have to tell everyone, this is one of the most amazing and awesome mods out there. They should probably just make this stock it is so perfect.
  20. Can I ask a dumb question, and I'm extremely sorry if this has already been answered. But when I use the blue parachute (Realchute Main Chute), it doesn't do the full parachute expansion when I come down at higher altitudes. I don't do anything fancy, I'm just trying to use it like the games default parachute. Thanks! <edit> Actually it just happened again over water. Sometimes the parachute fully deploys to slow me down to a proper soft landing, and other times it stays in drogue form. Does this have to do with FAR?
  21. Oh nice! So all the biomes should be fine. Your clouds are magnificent.
  22. Your very welcome. My 3 favorite moons in the solar system (sorry Earth Moon).
  23. Did you change textures so much that Biomes will be off? I'm concerned with Duna as I don't see an icecap on the North Pole in your screenshots
  24. Yes! Have a gas giant be based on Saturn: See if you can do rings around it like Krag did. ---------------------------------- and the moons be: ---------------------------------- Name: Enceladus to keep with non-real names call it: (Sudalecne) Features: A very small moon with 2 biomes. Snow and liquid river channels of water. Brief Description: Enceladus (Sudalecne) is one of a few moons that may harbor life in the solar system. The tug and pull of the nearby moons causes the interior to flex which results in heating and icy geysers to erupt from the "Tiger Stripes". Sampled mist from the geysers show it contains all the ingredients necessary to harbor basic life. -------------------------------------- Name: Europa to keep with non-real names call it: (Aporue) Features: A medium sized moon covered in ice. Brief Description: Europa (Aporue) is one of a few moons that may harbor life in the solar system. The rings of its home planet and the nearby moons causes internal heating causing the ice to mover like Kerbal's Tectonic plates. If one could drill a mile beneath the surface they would find a continuous liquid ocean. Europa: ------------------------------------ Name: Titan to keep with non-real names call it: (Natit) Features: A huge moon with 2 biomes. Land made of crusted Kethane and dirt, and liquid seas, lakes, and rivers made of liquid Kethane. Brief Description: Titan (Natit) is one of a few moons that may harbor alternate forms of life in the solar system. Kethane, along with being a combustible fuel when mixed with Oxygen, is part of the chemical soup needed to make basic amino acids. Titan is one of the largest moons in the solar system and because of its size and density is able to maintain a thick orange atmosphere which is impenetrable to camera's higher than 1,000 meter off the ground. The cloud layer is phenomenally thick and dense rising with 2 different shades. Orange around the base, and a light blue (high Nitrogen content) in it's Stratosphere. Titan: Atmosphere: Titan Surface Features:
