  1. Will be reopened when we build enough robot miners Mineshaft closed due to lack of D-cell batteries
  2. You can place them in specific seats in the VAB or when you pick a rocket at the launch pad, but I don't know of any way to pick a seat if they're re-entering from EVA
  3. Oh, and btw, my tongue was firmly in cheek
  4. Nah, they's probably go with Disney names, since that's what most of the general public would associate with Pluto: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, etc. They'll probably name the oddest feature Goofy. Since Disney now owns the Star Wars franchise, there may be some names from there too. Maybe they'll find a small moon and name it the Death Star ("that's no moon...")
  5. I remember when I first started playing I'd just crank my orbit out until it crossed the Mun's orbit, then warped until the Mun caught me, often for several orbits. Good thing there's no life support requirement.
  6. The thought that comes to mind is that it may be difficult to get pics past a certain resolution because it may run into industrial espionage territory if there is too much detail. Have you tried a Google image search? (Sorry that may be a run-on sentence that keeps running on and on...)
  7. Lots of different neat-looking ships, 8/10 Looks like you have a bit of a war going on. Can I help?
  8. Very odd, looks like everything is there. I suppose it could be a bug. You could use the Alt-F12 debug menu to force completion. Could something have broken off?
  9. Let's see, there's the thingamajig, the doohickey, the whatchamacallit, the doodad, the thingamabob, the short thin round things, short fat round things, long fat round things, really fat long things...
  10. No, this is much better for destroying old clock radios: Oops, wrong game...
  11. You mean the news ticker in SimCity 3000? that would be kool!
  12. I haven't used PreciseNode, but if it works for you, maybe I'll give it a shot someday. I usually just rotate and zoom until my view shows me what I need to see. I agree moving the node can be a pain that way I've learned not to get too fussy with the maneuver node since I rarely burn it precisely (no MechJeb). I get it as close as reasonable to where I want it and after the burn I fine-tune the approach with RCS. I learned this after spending too much time fine-tuning the node only to have to fine-tune again after I second Kerbal Alarm Clock, it's invaluable. The first mod I get when I install a new update. Never warp through a maneuver node, or SOI change, again! Most important: Learn the navball. Love the navball. Use the Navball. Be one with the navball. When docking, I don't even look at the ships anymore; I only look away from the navball if using NavyFish Docking Alignment Indicator. There's a simpler one called Navball Docking Alignment Indicator where I never look away from the navball, but if your closing speed is nil its hard to tell which way to go with that one. Navyfish has more info but takes up screen space.
  13. Physics dt can be changed in settings at the games start screen (not the launcher)
  14. Lol, that's awesome. Nice to see that even Nasa is using KAD (Kerbal Aided Design) , even if it is just for demo videos The next project for Squad will be AutoKAD
  15. 1 cheese pizza coming right up! I'll have the radio dish and chips, please
  16. Helpful info mods are Kerbal Alarm Clock (never warp past a maneuver node again), Kerbal Engineer Redux (provides dV and TWR info on your rocket, and more) or VOID (KER lite with some more situational info, with a nice HUD), Trajectories, Chatterer (just provides radio chatter sounds and nothing else), one of the Docking Alignment Indicators (either Navball or NavyFish). Science Funding provides mo' money! That's all I use. Happy Flying!
  17. Yeah, needs another option for "Not nearly as much as I'd like" and/or "Not quite as much as I'd like." #@^!@%# family....
  18. With the Lvl 3 pilots maybe setting to radial would be a good choice, once you've killed most of the horizontal velocity. You could still twitch it to the sides or use RCS to kill the rest of the horizontal velocity, and it should always stay or return to pointing straight up.
  19. Hey thx, that's better. Hardly miss a beat that way, and can't really tell that's it's fake fullscreen edit: Changed to solved, but perhaps a 'bypassed' or 'worked around' tag would fit better
  20. I play KSP on my Envy dv6 laptop (core i7, 8GB RAM, GeForce GT630m,) using the touchpad, running Windows 8.1 64bit Version build id = 00705 NOT steam. Playing in fullscreen I finally got around to posting about this: Windows 8.1 has this feature where swiping in from the right side on the touchpad brings up the right-side sidebar full of what Windows calls 'charms': Search, settings, etc. Prior to 0.90, this has not been a problem. Since installing .90 (fresh download/unzip, not an update), if I accidentally swipe (wanting to move the cursor) too close to the right edge of my touchpad the sidebar comes up and minimizes KSP. Fortunately, this rarely happens during critical times like when about to land. The game is still running and I can bring it back up and continue playing, but it gets annoying when it starts happening often. Of course, this also happens in windowed mode and KSP doesn't minimize then, but I don't like windowed mode (can't see the edges of the window). This happens in my usual lightly modded install. Prior to posting I downloaded and installed, er, unzipped a fresh unmodded version, but still had this problem. Is there any way to stop this from happening? It didn't happen at all in previous versions. I searched and browsed this forum but didn't find any reference to this.
