  1. Well, the union has to accept job losses on this, I'm afraid. The way to compete with SpX is to get lean and mean, meaning less man-hours per vehicle. ULA justified their price with their schedule and mission reliability, but the success of F9 starts to make that premium appear less valuable. And when they're still waiting on engines for Vulcan, whatever the price for that will be...
  2. *dingdingdingdingding!* Uh... huh huh huh huh huh @Earthlinger
  3. Dang, those were of bunch of favourites from my youth. They just don’t make them like that anymore
  4. Oh, probably, and worthless regardless, so who cares? But it’s the first time I got a reaction like that, and it’s fun (and addictive! That’s how these platforms work!) to watch the numbers go up. Until they stop, of course, but the wise people know it means nothing anyways. Teens, OTOh, need to be taught that.
  5. By far this has been my most successful post anywhere ever, with over 900 upvotes on imgur. Imgur sez it has “gone viral” (it has over 100k views now)
  6. Yeah, but it went too heavy on some stereotypes, especially the brawny dumb guy whose name I forget, so I stopped watching. But I’m enjoying Rebels now, albeit mostly as background noise
  7. Don't forget money. Dump trucks full of money usually work too.
  8. Not sure where else to put this,,,, Oh, did you hear that Thrawn will be in Ahsoka?
  9. Would someone please tell Musk that he can't create a ship that travels faster than light?
  10. Fatman is when Bruce Wayne gets old... But way to go, now you triggered me.... Whaddaya get when Batman and Robin get run over by a steamroller? Er, wait, did you mean Batman riding the "Fat Man" atomic bomb?
  11. Lol sorry my bad, forgot what thread I was in
  12. I thought Raptor was spark ignition? Which would still leave the question of what (or which piece of copper) was burning green? Part of the spark ignition, or not quite norminal?
  13. Thanks for that, I should have realized the dynamics of a ATC would be different than a non-wheeled lander. Still, if redundancy is valued over mass, then five would probably be best, with plenty of suspension travel.
  14. If three legs was “stable enough,” then 3-wheel ATVs would still be for sale new
  15. I think it got stretched and the Mvac probably uprated a bit sometime after V1, but that’s about it I think.
  16. It probably still thinks every road is a runway...
  17. Not so much customization here. Just the franchise rep watching for any sign of rebellion for the past several years... Your shop is much cleaner than mine, unsurprisingly.
  18. Shades of “Join me, and together we shall rule the Galaxy!” *shakes fist*
