  1. I like to think in the other direction. Don’t convert a tank into habitable space; design a habspace that can hold propellants for the first part of its service life. A bag of sorts may (or may not) be necessary to keep fluids out of sensitive areas. The great thing about methalox is that it can be vaporized and vented/captured without leaving behind an oily residue.
  2. Epic flick. Just got back; we enjoyed it. Much I wanna say but don’t wanna spoiler.
  3. *ghears turn* "I love the roar of Raptors in the morning!" - Lt-Col Launchmore, Rocketpocalypse Now
  4. That place where things go to either get fixed or junked... REPAIRGATORY! And it seems to take forever for it to go either way...
  5. Oh, someone wants to try to kick that can again, huh? Morgan Freeman has wanted to produce it since at least 2003, with the main stumbling block being a high-quality script for it. Should be interesting, if it actually gets done this time. Just please don’t make the sequel books, much as I enjoyed them more than most (apparently)
  6. While I’m no expert by any means, the one bit of advice that stick about looking at telescopes is to make sure it has a good solid mount (sorry, I don’t have any recommendations). It gets frustrating very fast if it won’t stay where you aim it. From my limited experience, I find myself wanting a motorized tracking mount since things seem to move out of the FOV far too quickly due to Earths rotation. I think my mount has a knob for that, if I ever set it up/align it properly. But I have been able to pick out the pinpricks of the Galilean moons Sorry I’m not actually answering your question; I don’t know a good site for that

  8. Tweets look fine to me, on iPhone/Safari
  9. The Married Gamer's Drinking Game!: Pour yourself a drink, then start playing your vurrent favorite game. You generally won't have time to drink much. But every time your wife makes you pause it, and leave the PC/console/whatever, have a big slug... Bonus points if you can convince your wife to play the alternate version of forcing you to pause for a shot of tekillya... Now excuse me while I go back to shipbreaking...
  10. Birthdays would be personal stats. Weekend birthdays observed on Mon/Fri or mutual consent
  11. Yeah, sometimes there's a bit of gold at the bottom of remake pan, but it seems that more often it's just dirt. Now, expanding on an existing storyverse is a different story. I missed the news that Star Wars: Roque Squadron is being worked on, with an orginal story (not cribbed from the books or games). That sounds like the kind of action barnstormer I can strap into, but I'll have to wait and see what actually hits the screen.
  12. Whoops. I know this isn't a window-critical mission, but ULA is getting their "on-time" reputation tarnished a little. But of course it's always better to scrub.
  13. Yeah. And now we're expecting up to 10cm of snow by Monday morning. I know, I don't consider that a lot, but most drivers here don't see enough snow to know how to drive in it. And then stretches of the highway are still surrounded by water... it's going to be fun !
  14. Well, the Space Shuttle ran fuel rich to both cool the engine and increase the ISP. So basically, that’s already been done
  15. Ah, one of those majestic songs of the season on the radio, paired with a fantastic light display....
  16. Okay, I got one. Why does a game like Civ 6, which is turn-based and is doing nothing if not receiving input (animations off) run so stupid hot? I swear KSP runs cooler, at least at low part counts. It's always done this, and I can't figure out what all the hubbub is about, why it would need to be generating that much heat doing nothing. And then when I do something it's running slow. I suppose I should take it to that forum, but I don't hang there...
  17. My mind starts thinking "1-800-ON-ORBIT" or "1-800-IN-ORBIT" 1-800 MUNSCOP ? MNSCOPE ? (North American toll-free phone numbers, for our oversea friends)
  18. Doesn’t the Rutherford use electric turbopumps, IIRC? Would that help?
