  1. As dgershko says, stock MP is a long ways off. If it'll enhance the fun you have, enjoy what's out there now. You also don't know how different stock MP will be from what's available now, either, so your feel for spoils could also vary.
  2. By giving into temptation and ramming full speed into it. Works. Every. Time.
  3. A few posters in this thread are organizing another tournament, preferably to take place at the conclusion of this one. Get in touch with them if you'd like to participate
  4. On the other hand, allowing a certain type of access to the game can allow for more people to get into it. Plenty of other games have run a "free weekend" for either the full game or a certain part of the game (usually multiplayer) with good result. However, KSP's demo, while somewhat outdated right now, is still robust enough to give you a solid sense of what the full game has in store. With that, I don't see KSP doing anything akin to a "free weekend." As for a gifting thread, that'd be up to you. I wouldn't want to see steam IDs thrown about the thread though. The handling of code exchanges should be handled through PMs, while requests be made in the thread.
  5. If it is, so be it I'd spoken directly with ScriptKitt3h about this prior, so no offense to the rest of the team.
  6. I don't know what just happened, but I had to get rid of a few posts. While this is a competition, please remember that this is also supposed to be fun. Keep your spirits up, everyone
  7. It'll last the course of a few weeks with a team on both sides being knocked out each week. The teams that are in place right now are the ones that will either go the distance or be knocked out through various points of the competition.
  8. It came down to popular vote amongst myself and the mod team. Preferably not. *Ahem...* If the teams who weren't chosen would like to compete in their own tournament, it *would* be kind of fun to pit the Kerbin Cup winner against the winner of, I don't know, the "Kerbal Championship League?"
  9. This contest is my baby. Marketing the game through the contest is not what I have in mind here. It's maintaining a sense of pride for the places you're rooting/playing for and most importantly, having a good time. As for any ambiguities, I'm all for suggestions and tightening up anything along the way. This is for you guys and if there's anything that might detract from the experience, I'd like to see if improvements could be made. PM me and we can chat about it.
  10. Sure, if it helps the scenery. It's about taking a nice looking picture and making sure the craft looks like a trophy. EDIT: I amended the challenge to make it more specific. Hyperedit's fine, as are other mods. Take the picture in space or not, just make sure the craft looks like a trophy and the pic looks as good as possible from in-game.
  11. I wanted this particular challenge to be somewhat subjective and open, but if you have some suggestions on criteria, I'm all ears. *Mods are fine. *Just in space. Orbit is fine, too. *Yes. It just needs to look like a trophy. *Doesn't matter.
  12. Teams are up. Challenge is up. Congrats to everyone chosen and thank you for everyone who submitted names. Good luck and have fun!
  13. Quick update - I'm waiting on a few more votes to come in from the mod teams on both sides. Once the results are apparent, I will post up the competitors and the challenges at once.
  14. Only after the challenge is announced. No sense in having an entire entry pre-made if you don't know what it'll be.
  15. Which is why I suggested that teams be balanced, so if such a thing occurs, teams would be less likely to be stuck in a lurch. The tasks being mysterious is part of the overall challenge of the competition.
  16. I was just updated on this. Looks like I spoke too soon before, so all apologies on this. We're working with Curse to get a proper redirect in a similar fashion. Guys, let's not turn this into another Curse bashing thread.
  17. Hi there. Community Manager here. I'm a member of Squad. I may not have responded to the thread, but I certainly have kept tabs of it. I'm glad that things are getting back on point here. Please keep them that way.
  18. In that event, The mods and I will choose from the pool of volunteers and already established teams.
  19. I second this notion. I'd love to see it happen.
