  1. The vague title pulled me in. The craziness within kept me here. Good going.
  2. Have you hugged your modder today? No, seriously, I think this is a great idea. These are the people that test the limits of the game and bring in so many layers of depth that even those of us at Squad are routinely impressed by what they do. Give them all of the reputation! Only as much as Reddit karma. Which is, you know, nothing. It is an indicator as to post quality, though and overall meaning to the community.
  3. Good question. I don't know if that's possible, but we're currently looking into upgrading the forum version. It may better be left for then.
  4. Sounds more like a Street Fighter game with less "Ultra," "Mega" or "Hyper."
  5. Except on the forum. Don't break rules here. That is all.

    Font Bomb

Thanks for clarifying, Canadian. Sounds pretty wacky at first.
  7. Our very own Calisker and NASA's Robert Jacobs recently sat down with Red Thomas from MMORPG.com to DISCUSS Kerbal Space Program: Asteroid Redirect Mission. Here's a short excerpt where they talk about the development of ARM. Ricoxg: What was it like around the office at Squad? Holztman: It started [as an idea] on Twitter, and it soon expanded to a conversation with Squad’s owners, Adrian Goya and Ezequiel Ayarza. Ultimately, we were communicating with the team at NASA almost daily to make sure we were doing their work justice. A lot of credit has to be given to Felipe Falanghe, KSP creator and lead developer, as well as our technical artist and developer, Chad Jenkins, and our QA director Ted Everett. The entire team crushed it but these three worked some seriously brutal hours to make this update the biggest the game has seen. Ricoxg: Can you tell me a little about the development process? What were some obstacles, and where did the ideas for things like the tracking station/asteroid capture come from? Holztman: The team wanted to combine the real Asteroid Redirect Mission with the game as much as possible. The tracking station is intended to emulate real life, as NASA is working hard to evaluate all of the asteroids out there that pose a threat to Earth. Where the team took some liberty was the Advance Grabbing Unit, otherwise known as “The Claw,†that is used to redirect asteroids. It can actually grab other things too so if you want to redirect Kerbals, go for it – but please be careful!

    Hello

I'm so glad that the comic inspired you to pick back up on KSP, play and join us all here in the community. Enjoy!
  9. I know Unreal has more use than for what I'm about to say, but when you mention Unreal, the first thing I think of is square-jawed, roided-up solders. That in mind, if Squad ever decides to go with Unreal, I'm glad that the devs will finally be able to deliver the dark and gritty version of KSP we've all been waiting for.* *Totally not happening.
  10. As a few have mentioned here, please bring up KerbalEdu with your teacher. It's a mod meant for educational purposes, distributed to those in educational institutions. While going with the regular version is great, KerbalEdu will get you that much more from the experience.
  11. The Kraken lives...and posts!
  12. Kerbal Space Program is now on sale for 40% off the regular price at GAMEFLY DIGITAL GAMES! If you've been waiting for a good time to grab some asteroids or you want to stock up on codes for friends, there's no better moment than this week's Indie Hits sale.
  13. Ever wonder what HarvesteR's gaming rig was like? PC Gamer did and thanks to them, you'll get to SEE the gear that matters most to the creator and lead dev of KSP.
  14. As have most of the people in this thread have stated, it's extremely important to remember that features are still being added to the game with each update. Budgets and contracts are on the way. Multiplayer will definitely shake things up, too. Heck, there are likely even things I don't know about - hooray for plausible deniability, right? Anyway, if you're not feeling a sense of achievement with what's directly implemented in the game at the moment, I suggest checking out the many community challenges that are set up to test your skills from the outset.
  15. Hi, The Jeb. It looks like you're being responded to plenty in this thread pslytely psycho nails it, though. There could be one reason or another for a thread not being replied to, but please don't take it personally. You're just as valued as anyone else in this amazing community.
  16. I'm not based out of Mexico, but I've heard from the team down there. All good in the hood, it seems. Thanks for asking.
  17. I might. If life is anything like our launch trailers, I, as a Kerbal, would still have the ability to play KSP. In that case, all is right with the world.
  18. Guys, I think it's time you give Maximus the floor and let him do what he set out to do at the top of the thread. Keep the questions coming. If you have an answer to the question and/or a rebuttal to a video, please leave that for until after it gets posted. Thanks.
  19. To boldly go where no Kerbal (in your save) has gone before, then return to rescue the one that got there first.
  20. This post right here cannot be understated. The KSP community is super friendly and super helpful. Considering the learning curve, you may have a hard time with certain things, but you won't *feel* like a noob for long if you stick around.
  21. This thread is somehow reminding me of John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars, which is so crummy, I don't gather why it's the first thing to come to mind. It's the creepy vibe that space and other planets have when you're out there in the dark, by your lonesome.
  22. You paid to be able to play it before completion. Why wait? With more features being added in future updates and so many challenges and mods to play with right now, you will still get your money's worth playing today instead of tomorrow. Waiting has its own advantages, though. You'll get a complete game served up on a silver platter and you'll still have much of that "day one" excitement. Your call Personally, I think half the fun has been being able to experience the progression.
  23. Corruption and illegal activities are in the blood of Las Vegas. Their former mayor was even a former mob lawyer.
  24. Welcome to the forum, Zulu. Keep reading and you'll learn so much, you'll be on your way to ultimate KSP proficiency in no time.
