Welcome to the forums and great first post! MJ is great for a lot of things but for ascent I highly recommend GravityTurn Mod. Just use the default settings to start but set the target altitude to the value you want an tweak as needed to get more efficient launches. Edit: Just checked and it is confirmed working in 1.8

[1.7.x] [Release] Automatic Fuel Cells
Foxxonius Augustus replied to Xyphos's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sounds great! For me fuel cells never got used mainly because they needed to be micro managed and this sounds like it fixes that. Never understood why fuel cells didn't just work like this in the first place. -
[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)
Foxxonius Augustus replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is a weird one. Did you at any point move files from an old ksp version to that install? -
I'm no expert but the use of ver 1.4.5 is likely the reason. Or rather, the use of a version of module manager that is compatible with 1.4.5 is likely the reason. My best guess would be to update KSP so that you can use a more up to date version of MM. Edit: Another option might be to download the legacy version of HabTech (i.e. HabTech 1) although those parts generally have less features and don't look as good.

totm may 2024 [1.12.x] - Modular Kolonization System (MKS)
Foxxonius Augustus replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I mean Micromanagement =/= Balance. If it is overpowered and annoying to use guess what, people will feel like they have to use it and be annoyed when they do. Better to just balance the system in the first place. -
[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)

It is my understanding that ReStock uses a 'blacklist' and a 'whitelist' that lets you control what parts are loaded. At least as far as I know. More info can be found on this page of the ReStock wiki. Some one who knows more about how it works can probably help you if you run into trouble. Also: Many of the foiled parts have alternate texture variants that might be more to your liking, they even use the stock variant switch mechanic! -
[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Foxxonius Augustus replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I would recommend using ReStock and ReStock+, the stock heat shields don't even line up well with the stock pods. -
I don't have the screen shots anymore and don't remember what version it was but I have planted a flag on Jool. To be clear, there has never been a surface to plant a flag on on but the lower atmosphere is thick enough to drop the terminal velocity of a kerbal low enough for it to be possible to just spam the plant flag button and have it work.

I love it! I actually pitched Juno-V ages ago to help get the juices flowing for the original Saturn dev and it was the first thing I built when the Saturn parts first came out. The new Titan parts make it look even better! This was the mock up I made even before the LR-87s had bottom nodes. (And before we had proper Saturn parts ) (Plz forgive old parts Cobalt)

Seeing as Well has stated that LqdHydrogen wont be forthcoming, is there anyone working on a LH/balance patch to bring those engines inline with other stockalike mods?

Thanks for the update! Despite other, better and/or more accurate shuttle mods that have been released since KSO went legacy, this is still the one that feels the most Kerbal.
