  1. seems like it's not updated/current on kerbalstuff either. Are you no longer supporting kerbalstuff/CKAN and I should just get it from github/etc now?
  2. why is EPL not showing up in CKAN as compatible with 1.0.5 ?
  3. on CKAN this mod is only officially supported up to 1.0.4 - just a reminder that while it works with 1.0.5, CKAN users have to manually install it at the moment until it's "officially" updated.
  4. I've tried it with the communotron 88 dish, the DTS comm array, and the omni antennas, with the same results on all three. perhaps there are some antennas that work, but these types that I'm mentioning worked before 1.0.5 :) as did all of the ones I tried, before...
  5. Mine is acting like it works. it gets to 100% and then I just don't get the science. Log is above.
  6. seconded. this is confirmed broken on a clean install of 1.0.5 with mods reinstalled from scratch. I thought it was a module compatibility issue but it seems to be a general problem. Here's the relevant log section: RemoteTech: [Transmitter]: Uploading Data... (Research results) - 6.67 Mits/sec. 7. Unfortunately since it hasn't been "officially" updated, CKAN won't install it. Guess I can do a manual install until it updates, but any chance you can make a quick update to change the embedded version # so that CKAN will work with it again? Since it seems to actually work as-is?
  8. looks like CKAN has part of AVP but not all of it.. at the moment. seems a new problem in 1.0.5. it's the "clouds" that CKAN keeps complaining are missing.
  9. It's working for me, I don't see any difference in behavior with it between 1.0.4 and 1.0.5. - - - Updated - - - There are a couple things I wanted to ask the developers of this mod though: 1. Is there a way to change the bank/pitch/yaw limits that the autopilot will use? 2. Is there a way to get airspeeds to actually be airspeeds instead of ground speed? holding a speed of 200 m/s is fine at sea level, but that's a flat-out stall at 10,000m. Usually aircraft speed-hold is based on IAS/EAS or Mach. Not sure if this information is available in stock nerfed-aero, but it *should* at least be available when FAR is in use. ie generally a pilot will command a 250kts indicated airspeed hold during climb, then go to 300kts above 10,000' ASL and then above 18000' MSL you'd generally switch over to a mach hold and climb/cruise at 0.70/0.80 (or thereabouts).
  10. so.. CKAN has InterstellarFuelSwitch's update, but Interstellar is still not showing an update to v16. EDIT: Nevermind. it hadn't shown up until now, but literally a minute after posting this, it's there. lol.
  11. @Freethinker - any update on the "Mk2 cargo bays are infinitely efficient heat sinks" problem that I posted a few days ago? Or is it not reproducible on your end? Then again with 1.0.5 and the changes to stock heating it might not be an issue anymore. Will test after Interstellar is updated for 1.0.5 - at the moment it completely does not work. None of the Interstellar parts load in the SPH using 1.0.5. FAR, DRE, KAS, KIS, RPM, and IR also seem to be throwing critical errors, which I suppose is par for the course on a new version releasing Will wait patiently. And will re-test the mk2 heat radiation when KSP is working again
  12. I noticed something the other night... I made a Mk2 spaceplane, and forgot to put heat radiators on it. Then I flew it and didn't realize I forgot the radiators. Checked the resources panel, wasteheat is at 0. This thing has about 400+ gigawatts of antimatter power on it and the Thermal helper in the SPH is deep deep in the red - while mk2 cargo bays are in fact radiators, they're not radiating near enough heat for these reactors. However the plane never gets hot. Wasteheat never goes above 0 actually. So, somehow or another, stock mk2 cargo bays are hyper-efficient radiators... The mk3 bays do not do this, only the mk2 bays. I ran a couple more tests, used different reactors, made a few different planes.. the common denominator is the mk2 cargo bays (any size).
  13. So I tried it with FAR - it's much better than MJ2 at controlling the plane, although there is still some wobble, although it may be due to my control surfaces being too large for the mass of the craft. Is there, however, any way to add an APPLY button? I type in a heading and it doesn't take effect until I hit + and then -. Also is there a way to change the interval that + and - increment/decrement by?
  14. Now we just need published instrument approach plates like JeppCharts or NACO plates (IFR pilot here myself as well). One thing I'm not finding by searching the thread here is any reference to FAR - MechJeb's plane autopilot can't even hold altitude properly with FAR, can this one? I'd settle for even a basic Piper Altimatic-III style altitude hold at this point if I could get it... but it has to work with FAR and not wobble all over the place
  15. you can't use the quantum states to encode binary information?
  16. Your latest update seems to have broken Interstellar Fuel Switch - you seem to be packaging an outdated version along with this mod that conflicts with the official version from Freethinker. Removed this mod and IFS works properly again. It wasn't a problem until the very latest version of this mod though, before that everything got along well What the last 2 posters noted about the nested GameData and Saves folders seems to mirror my experience and could easily explain the problem. Might just be a packaging issue?
  17. Freethinker, I have an idea... was reading about quantum entanglement last night... would maybe good to go along with the alcubierre drive(?) - quantum entanglement FTL comms antennas - really only useful for (and integrated with) RemoteTech, but that's a near-future technology that would fit well with the theme of the mod, I think. Not sure how hard it'd be to do, though. Also, any updates on the fixed 0.10/0.50c warp drive thing that we had discussed a few weeks back?
  18. Freethinker I think we've had a miscommunication on my recent posts about TTJ (thermal turbojet) - I notice that in the current version, the part I'm referring to has been renamed to "hybrid thermal rocket" - all of my previous posts referencing TTJ performance were in fact referencing the hybrid thermal rocket, not the new turbojet engines that you've built more recently. The hybrid thermal rocket is the one that was called the thermal turbojet in older versions of the mod. So if that clears anything up, ... I've basically switched to ATILLA for now as they have lower profiles and are easier to fit into places... The only issue I'm having right now is one that I think was reported a couple months ago but to which I didn't see an answer - if I set up my ISRUs to process things, then I switch to the space center and do other things.. i go back to the refinery and the ISRUs have forgotten their orders and haven't done anything in the meantime; it seems I must sit and watch and babysit the refinery until it's fully done, and do nothing else while this happens. Is this a known issue? Is it fixable? or is this something we just have to live with because of the way KSP works?
  19. If you use MFT and the Mk2 KSPIE integration mod from ABZB, you'll have realfuels available in the OPT (and all other) parts [that can normally carry liquidfuel and/or oxidizer]. Is 1.8 coming to CKAN soon?
  20. Adjustable landing gear does not cause this behavior, I use them all the time. In fact, the K cargo tail was designed specifically to be used with the adjustable landing gear 'large' size gear, according to OPT's author. I have seen this behavior with OPT parts myself, but not always. Usually exiting KSP and relaunching fixes it. KSP does also seem to run out of memory faster when using OPT-based craft, but with 1.1 around the corner (stable 64-bit) I'm not too concerned by that at this time. Keep in mind you need to patch OPT if you want to use the OPT wings with FAR. Without the patch, OPT wings will generate no lift with FAR - not sure if the OPT author has made this part of the main OPT distribution or not yet - may be in the new release, don't think it's in the one you can currently get on CKAN though.
  21. I've been doing it for years. Take an additional antimatter reactor, attach a turbojet, rotate it vertical, and put it at the com. Repeat if more thrust is needed. Has worked really well until now. Pretty much every craft I have uses this design. Are you saying that the current turbojet performance is intentional? What about the fact that it's reporting it's thrust values incorrectly to other mods in atmospheric mode? Seems like something is still awry here.
  22. I'm not sure what you're suggesting I do here. .. I have 4 shock cone intakes feeding the craft but when doing vtol, airflow is a bit limited for obvious reasons
  23. Freethinker - 1.5.9 actually made the TTJ performance *worse* than in 1.5.8 - see my previous post. My VTOL plane won't get off the ground now at all under any amount of thrust. Exact same design that could get barely in the sky with 100% on 1.5.8, and in previous versions had no trouble. Also there's still a problem with how max/current thrust is being reported to other mods. As before, works fine in hydrazine mode, only a problem in atmosphere mode.
