  1. Hello once again, Individuals! In this video, I continue my quest for knowledge about KSP 0.25, by studying the strange effects of Whack-a-Kerbal! Also, IMMORTAL SPACE TOILET! Have a very nice day, Individuals! Like, Favorite, Subscribe and Share please... and I'll see you next time, with another episode of the KeeeeEEEErbal Space Program! PEACE!!
  2. Really? That's pretty awesome! Although, clicking around in Whack-a-Kerbal should probably not cause this to happen, as one of the big draws of 0.25 (for me, at least) was that clicking around in the debug menu didn't select parts behind the clicked option. I think that Whack-a-Kerbal needs a similar revision, though it's certainly not as significant and probably can wait. Also, I've found that occasionally, playing with Whack-a-Kerbal while floating in EVA can temporarily make the Kerbal not respond to commands. This seems to be relatively random, and I'll need to play a little more before I can figure out how to properly replicate it. Details as events warrant. Thanks for the explanation! Again, these things almost certainly won't show up in normal gameplay, but I just want to make a note of them, as they may be something to clean up in the future. Upsilon
  3. Hello! I've been having a tremendous amount of fun with the Debug menu, and especially Whack-a-Kerbal, in 0.25. Here are the bugs that I've found so far. Pardon any lack of eloquence, as some of these bugs are a bit difficult to explain. >Whack-a-Kerbal can now be opened in every screen in the game, including the main menu and the VAB/SPH. >Mousing over the Debug menu or Whack-a-Kerbal in the Main Menu causes all of the buttons to change color, as if they have been pressed. (They don't actually get pressed, though.) >You can destroy buildings with Whack-a-Kerbal in the Space Center screen, now! (Although I think that this was intended.) >When time-warping up immediately after destroying buildings with Whack-a-Kerbal in the Space Center screen, the time-warp feature gets jittery and laggy. >When Whack-a-Kerbal has been opened in the Space Center screen, it cannot be closed in any screen except the Space Center screen. >When Whack-a-Kerbal is open in the VAB/SPH, trying to move it around can cause the part tab immediately behind it to stay open and follow the mouse. >When mousing over Whack-a-Kerbal in the VAB/SPH with a ship loaded, the symmetry, angle snap, and "Back" buttons are highlighted, though none of them are actually pressed. If a ship is not loaded, only the "Back" button is highlighted. >When out on EVA with RCS on, changing Whack-a-Kerbal parameters causes Kerbals to tip from side to side. Here is a video showing most of these bugs, though not all of them (I didn't pick up on the time-warp-in-the-Space-Center-menu bug until after the video was complete.) I'm sure that there are more problems with Whack-a-Kerbal, because I've only been using 0.25 for an hour and thus probably haven't picked up all that I could from this. I don't mind many of these bugs, as they're not really in day-to-day KSP activity and are relatively unobtrusive. I just wanted to point out that they do exist, and should probably be fixed if there's time for it. Thanks, Upsilon
  4. A relatively new guy, who I've only seen in the Hype thread so far... also more tigers than are currently on Earth right now.
  5. Hmmm. That wasn't the case for me... closing the cargo bays seemed to cut thrust (at least with two Basic Jets in there). (at 0:42)
  6. I should probably mention here that a trailer for 0.25 is here, and it was made by Nassault! [edit: Video now embedded properly.]
  7. Your stock and SP+ fuel tankers look suspiciously similar (as in they're the same image.). It's probably Chading's fault. Curse you, Chading! [edit: fixed.]
  8. Fun fact: the little lights at both ends of the runway are considered separate entities to destroy. Also, you can destroy the mk1 memorial. You haven't destroyed everything, until you've destroyed those.
  9. I was already posting on the thread when you commented. I'm just all magical, and stuff.
  10. I have been summoned! Just my two cents: ~75% of the craft I currently build only 'work,' aesthetically and otherwise, with the old small control surfaces. The main problem with the new control surfaces seems to be their thickness, although they are also slightly larger overall. I often used small control surfaces to give wing area to craft unobtrusively, such as this 'bird': This sort of design simply would not work with the larger control surfaces, as they're big enough and thick enough to completely throw off the design. I know that the new parts are better in many ways. They're suited very well to large craft, and they reduce clipping. But I don't like building larger craft, and I know that others like small craft, too. I think that we should keep the small control surface in, for the sake of variety, if nothing else. In the future, I would be very happy if SQUAD made their new small control surface thinner and maybe a bit lighter in color. I don't think that returning to the old control surface's exact scheme is really needed, but I would like a better replacement. By the way, guys, please don't be arguing like this. I know that there are some strong opinions flying, but I don't think that insults, name-calling, or any other personal attacks are ever appropriate. Thank you.
  11. The KSC Monolith is still there, though mostly underground now. Also, you can now destroy the Mk1 Pod memorial.
  12. I found my first bug in 0.25! When Whack-a-Kerbal is opened in Space Center view (which, yes, you can do), going into one of the buildings causes the menu to not be removable. Interestingly enough, moving it from side to side in the SPH and VAB seem to mess with the upper-right-hand corner buttons. If anyone's got the game open right now and wants to verify this, I would appreciate that very much.
  13. Hello once again, Individuals! I'm just quickly popping on to this section to state that I've answered some questions I had about the new update of KSP, very briefly. Some of these answers are quite useful; others are just fun. Regardless, enjoy, and let me know what you think! Have a very nice day, Individuals! Like, Favorite, Subscribe and Share please... and I'll see you next time, with another episode of the KeeeeEEEErbal Space Program! PEACE!!
  14. New brief video of mine gives a brief overview of 0.25! In a nutshell: >The new planes in KSP don't work as well as they should. >You can put VTOL engines in cargo bays and toggling the doors cuts the engines' thrust! >Kerbals' heads look weird in the new cockpits' IVA mode, thanks to the way the camera works! >Don't try to dive into the pool. Your head will hurt. If you do, don't blame me. Anyways, off to bed now. I like this new update.
  15. Just discovered that you can, indeed, break the mk1 pod memorial. This is good.
  16. Mine's downloading now... at 40 KB/s. This is going to be a long 2 1/2 hours... Curse my slow internet!
  17. Sssssshhhhhhh. I suppose we can wait a little longer. I posted this relaxing music on the Hype Train, but we need it more than ever over here.
  18. H'm. It's not showing when I log into KSP store...?!
  19. Hello everyone! I would like to contribute my small bit to the Hype. This is my favorite Hype-music: If it doesn't get your heart going enough, listen to it at 1.5x speed. Glorious. ALSO, for those who would like a chill pill, here's my latest music, MINMUS. It's quite calming Hope y'all benefit from one or the other of these. [Please repost if you like this, as it's going to get buried very quickly otherwise. -Upsilon]
  20. 3/10... I think I've seen you before, somewhere. Can't remember though.
  21. Thanks! Sure. Personally, I can't see that much of a difference between 128kbps audio and 256kbps audio for the purposes of simply sharing the audio with whoever wants it right now... but in the future, I can understand that higher-quality would be better for a high-quality plugin. I'll render all of the music in higher quality as soon as I have a few more pieces done. I honestly have no idea when the next song will be out, but I'll be sending some PMs for musicians I want for it, sometime soon.
  22. mp3 for Minmus is out. I toned down the violin solo, at the request of many of my YouTube subscribers. I think it sounds better that way, too. Here's the link. Enjoy, and feel free to use it however you want. Thanks! I really have fun creating these pieces, and they often come out better than expected
  23. I actually agree with GregroxMun here. This thread seems to be more suited to General KSP discussion, after all. If some friendly mod could please move it back I would appreciate it very much.
  24. You're up to #31 now, congratulations! (And I'm still at #32, thanks to a small amount of +Rep I gained recently, too.) Welcome to the club, NovaSilisko! Nice seeing you here.
