  1. Currently the restocked and restocked+ links via the GitHub are identical - slightly confusing
  2. Fo clarification, my perspective would be that any RSS option conceived fro the base game would entirely optional and perhaps a difficulty setting prior to starting a new game. It would NOT be a barrier to new players
  3. I'm thinking of the original lost in space series from the mid-1960s. And I do not care what KSP versions ultimately exist. So to be clear, there are three LOS media entities out there: 1) The 1960's TV series (amazing except for the vegetable episode - which on another level could actually be the finest piece of television Sci-fi ever produced - depending on the viewer's perspective of course) 2) The Movie (with Matt Leblanc as the only redeemable element) 3) A modern series (is it Netflix? whatever...) which is also rather good (the actor who plays Will Robinson is well deserving all praise, he's great - also he's likely the closest to being Kerbal sized) so... as they say in olden-times, "Pick your poison"...
  4. Do it. the implementation mechanism can be debated, obviously. I disagree regarding to reliance of mods on this subject. I think KSP should provide a “base” RSS that can support a wide range of part mods. you all will likely oppose me, but that’s ok.
  5. The failure to properly indent or index the topics and subtopics in the OP makes it rather difficult to understand. I found this OP rather frustrating. many years ago, in the olden days of computer programming, we used proper design of code to achieve efficiency Now, the kids these days and their crazy language... cracking , hacking, Oh! let's not forget fracking! (Please don't take this post too seriously)
  6. Whereas China seems now to be the current "non-western one-to-watch" (and best of luck to them), it's actually sad that the entire near-space exploration phase of human history seems to be in a continuous devolution into a forced competition. One hopes that there is a future where the human species can sustain a collaborative and diverse expansion of near-space presence and ultimately a common species-driven movement out to the wider solar system. But human/corporate behaviour/history indicates otherwise. It will require the thing we will never achieve - an effective world government and inclusive economy - guess we won't get there anytime soon (OK, back to my Sci-fi fantasies...)
  7. Retrieve it and place it on display at the KSC. There are no other viable options. You must do this.
  8. Not dead. Just freshly dead. Still kicking.
  9. if you want to collect science from kerbin - go planes if you want more science - go rocket and then launch for minmus asap.
  10. Those were hilarious at times. I really enjoyed them.
  11. I don't believe so, that is of course if you are expecting them to use the stock parts without changes to the configs. There are Several mods out there that can give you an approximation of real sized/powered lifters but the most close approximation will be RO. Do a CKAN install - you won't regret it.
  12. I said funny. Not conspiracy. That said... CONSPIRACY!!!! (or not) (probably not) (ok not) (unless it lasts months or years) (The definitely not not)
  13. It’s funny that the above post that says that reactions are disabled, has 6 reactions to it.
  14. I would to see the business case for such a craft debated by the kerbals. However in all seriousness, this is quite impressive. Well done sir!!
  15. I happened to be able to see this in Copenhagen projected onto the dome of the Tycho Brahe planetarium - really nice.
  16. Nice to see these. However, I'm not a big fan of the "horse" related naming convention. But then I guess they've already used up the dog names. Looking forward to further crustaceans... And for those of us wondering whether there is other life on Kerbin, well just look at the way the Kerbals name their stuff.
  17. I suggest we all post various localisations for the word “no”. here’s mine “nein”.
  18. Looks really cool. Are you also using RO? I didn’t see it in your mod list.
  19. Agree. Sit under a tree, have some cheese, a drink, and let Moriarty fix things...
  20. This looks pretty good! I'll be keeping a watch out for further progress! very nice...
  21. I've tried this mod and its OK. However, I chose not to use it for several reasons: 1) I know there are planets out there already - I've played the game - so its a bit anti-climatic for me. 2) The various telescopes and their relation to career mode doesn't make any sense to me. Remember how much we learned about the universe with ground based telescopes only - every planet, and a good number of moons - not to mention supernovas, etc. It was the advent of rocketry and space probes and the advancement of accompanying areas of 'astro-scientific' studies that really advanced our deeper understanding of the bodies in our solar system. (Hubble came along well after some of the most astounding solar system exploration programs like Mariner, Luna, Venera, Explorer, Voyager, Viking, etc.) 3) Our use of space telescopes in the real world is typically deep field studies, and the understanding of deep space structures and phenomenon. Sure, we do have some on-going planetary monitoring (Jupiter for example), but Hubble is primarily looking outside of our solar system. In KSP, there is NOTHING outside of the Kerbol system (Perhaps this mod might be VERY cool when KSP 2 arrives - I'll keep an eye out for that) So, for me this is not a top rated mod - I see it as more of a game mod than a realism mod. All that said, I'm sure there are a large number of KSPers who will enjoy this - so go for it!
  22. When KSP is just nearly dead, they will be forced to release a final DLC titled "KSP 1.9.1.1:LIFE SUPPORT!" and it will likely include an "iron lung" part.
