1. Yup. And thanks for the info! lets see what can I do...
2. I'm not very skillful looking inside asserts. Would be awesome to know the name of some textures more, as water (would try to find if doing changes there give us better performances), smokes or the one kerman pod... Someone knows the info?
3. Maybe a new shape to apply auroras not be necessary. I achieved volume and changes in the light of the aurora using a normal map with max high/deep settings. Still in progress.
4. Looks cool. But seems to be too stretched and the layer should be above the clouds, no?
5. City lights in my pack actually: Coming soon:
6. So will become obsolete the use of a detail texture for the clouds? Will there be changes in the management and texture which is used as map for night lights? I've done great improvements in map, texture and config for that.... I have a pretty clean test-install, for try my textures before final uses. If you want I can try the dev version and tell you about performance and aspect of clouds. But I don't have any idea about unity... Looks great for the possibilities of this version. A credible texture aurora should be applied in cylindric shape (maybe with normal map to fake depth) if that becomes a feature.
7. Great textures! Hope you don't mind if I use some details to get better results with my pack. Use this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-23-Release-2-15-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM-without-reduction-packs! If the memory usage still high after that, use any image editor and low kerbin to 4k (original half resolution) and the skybox to 2k (original half resolution). If you can't or you don't want to do it, please, wait for the next update with SD textures version.

9. Check this kid, he had great ideas a few months ago about something similar. And the music is composed by himself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOTB1VfEn7g Squad should see this. In fact this idea and compositions should be stock in the definitive version immo.
10. Just replace it. You have my stock look version in Default folder ("kerbalHead.png").

12. Alt+N and modify the speed setting or in the config file cloudLayers.cfg If you can say us how you set it to get more realism would be fantastic.
13. Just re-uploaded to fix the README, sorry. Should be ready again now.
14. Many thanks for the info! Truly instructive! Wow! I hadn't noticed you are the same person from Reddit's post that I've referenced in the changelog! But then I've checked the README's pack just to be sure... and is not there Please, excuse me. In fact the readme in the rar is an early and incomplete version. This will be changed asap to fix the changelog and give you the credit that you deserve. If you have links to your work it would be an honour add that info in the pack. Btw, I L-O-V-E your mun texture. One of the better textures that I've ever seen for KSP. If you check it my changes are only a bit of colors for the surface and a bit of rugosity... If the rest of your planets and moons textures are so great I bet your KSP looks awesome! Would be very generous of you share the rest of your art work.
15. Freaking-amazing-WellDone job Rbray89. Here my mod list: And even with my HD Texture Packs my Steam main KSP install works like a sir (3.128.000 KB in memory) . Thank-you-very-much.
16. I'm working on realistic reflection for mun. As first step for realistic interplanetary reflections for all rocky bodies. Any advice? Would be possible make this a feature?, to add a small glow to all bodies (only visible from interplanetary distances)? I achieve certain grade of success making this with the actual features and a fake-cloud low-res texture. The effect is close to be realistic from kerbin, but is awful from mun ground (visible and for that just not acceptable).
17. Yeah, fail. Next releases will be done in his own thread, in a new merged pack with "pimp my clouds", to avoid off-topics or steal attention from the mods which make it possible.
18. @Astronomer I love your Eve! but I want to make something more than a copy . Thanks for that configuration info, in this moment is pure gold for me.
19. @papics Thanks, those face issues will be fixed in the next update, with more quantity and accurate faces (new "capped and uncapped" -m & f- options coming). Female kerbal aspect still in development. I love the airpin too, hope the girls do not think it's too hyper-feminine. Rly hard get a true feminine kerbal look (despite to be a non-gender kind, their non stylized complexion results in annoying transvestite aspects when you try to feminize them). About the galaxy clouds you are right again, I was thinking to use new green galaxy/nebula clouds in the next release, but it's still experimental. And next skybox release in PNG format, for sure. I love that touch! Stunning! Biomes are now even more visible! Could you explain me how transparency affects Kerbin texture?
20. Happy to see that you like and enjoy the pack! I've followed Shaw and Papic's advices, so here comes the first update, please delete and clean the previous version of the pack to avoid problems: "Pimp my Kerbals" Texture pack v 1.1 DOWNLOAD https://mega.co.nz/#!05NykLgQ!Q7Ca4Xge1dt-OHhN1eDvuGdiV2UC-Y--eCEIw5nff5U
[Changelog] - Added 2 Generic female heads. - Added Kerbin 8K revamp (small changes at color, biomes are a bit more distinguishable now, added a very subtle touch of noise/rugosity to all surface to reach more realism -perfect flat surfaces are unnatural and boring-). - Added Mun 4K revamp (based on Endraxial texture http://www.reddit.com/r/KSPTexturePacks/comments/1sdhc1/best_textures_for_mun_that_keep_biome_visibility/ , added subtle touches of color to the grey dust+rugosity). - Added Minimus 4K revamp (100% new revamp, very close to stock colors but the surface draw have more volumes, tones and rugosity now, the crystalline areas have his subtle brights, as must be). - Added Duna 4k revamp (small changes at color and surface draw in order to reach more similarity to mars aspect and palette, but without lose the red stock aspect of Duna). - New skybox 4k (based on http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/44135-0-22-Universe-Replacer-v4-0/page28?p=574333&viewfull=1#post574333, revamp in HD and endeavouring to reach realistic colors, thanks to Papic for the advices and help, now the starfield have a "milky way" look and behavior). - Optional Jool revamp in low-res (made for use as base layer with pimp my clouds) -All textures are now in high-optimized PNG format, so the size of the pack has decreased considerably, even with all the new textures! (thanks to Shaw for the "101" about PNG optimization!). Regards and gratefulness: Thanks to Shaw for "Texture Replacer" (mod which shows this textures) by make this possible. Thanks to Endraxial by allow the small revamp of his mun's texture.
21. Pimp My Clouds (And city lights!) Texture Pack v0.5 - (23/01/14 UPDATE) DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible if you accidentally overwrite any of your previous personalized textures or settings!! CAUTION: This pack overwrites cityLights.cfg and cloudLayers.cfg to use new default settings. IT'S EXPERIMENTAL and still in progress, so all this should be used aware of it. For the best and most secure installation, put this pack on a clean installation of "Visual Enhancements: Clouds & City Lights" mod. If you can't or you don't want to do it, please, do a backup of all your personalized textures and configs (if you have it) before use this. DOWNLOAD https://mega.co.nz/#!skFEyaaa!EeS9FGAItEyWWyF68gkRqy9kWZYEhCrEmOzQuLdoHhE HOW TO INSTALL: 1- To install this pack, merge the folder "BoulderCo" from the rar with your mod installed folder "BoulderCo" (Substituting the necessary files in the process). 2- Then, just delete (or rename completely different as backup) all remaining TGA textures in your "CityLights" and "Clouds" installed folders (yet inside "BoulderCo"). This pack uses his own files, all in PNG, so this last step is important: having duplicate texture names may cause undesirable results. (Texture Replacer Mod + Pimp my Kerbals Texture Pack is recommended for best results of this pack) [Changelog] Version 0.5 - Several changes in cloudLayers.cfg. - Added clouds (and corresponding shadows) to Duna and Laythe. - Eve improved and recolored. - New improved clouds for Kerbin. - first approaches to better under-clouds settings in Kerbin. Trying to avoid excessive traces and reach a good fake-visual "volume" for clouds from ground. - New city lights and map for city lights. Visible from space now, but yet not too much if you don't zoom the camera to Kerbin. Trying to find the best settings in glow, size and distribution. - Jool clouds improved and recolored. Please, use "Pimp My Kerbals Texture pack" (containing his first low-res texture) for the best results. If not, remind that layer not going to be there and Jool may seem strange or different to captures in KSP Forum. - Please, use Texture replacer and "Pimp My Kerbals Texture pack" for the best results with this pack: contains revamps for Kerbin, Minimus, Mun, Duna and Jool -last one necessary for the best results with Jool-. - This pack is optimized now and is near to half the stock mod size but, if you are concerned yet about performance issues, TextureCompressor mod (A.K.A. Active Texture Management) is highly recommended. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-22-Release-1-Active-Memory-Reduction-Mod ------------------------------------------- Regards and gratefulness: Thanks to rbray89 (author of the mod which shows this textures) by make this possible.
22. Wait a bit! The experimental version is not optimized at all. Updated V0.5 version is coming very soon, optimized and much better!
23. Probably Squad chose a non gender specie due to all this problematics...
24. Maybe "Kerba"?, plural "Kerbas"? Sounds really feminine in spanish (and English, immo, acording to google voice http://translate.google.es/#en/es/Kerbal.%20Kerba.). True, clever point.
25. I was so cautious because I didn't mean do it wrong. Perfectly explained Shaw, very clarifier. I will fix that and the skybox asap, thank you very much for the info.
