Lisias
Hi, this is not exactly a question, but I didn't thought of a better place to do it. In the page https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/guidelines/ , both the Privacy Policy and the Terms Of Use are still linking to TTWO. Please send a heads up to the new owners, as this may be - from this point - a liability. Cheers.

Lisias
Hi, another one of that "no questions": A fellow Kerbonaut just realized recently that Forum is back because by some reason their links weren't working, and I'm guessing these links were using "http://" instead of "https://". I did a test and, in fact, using "http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com" in the URL leads to a non responsive page that eventually time outs. I don't how bad would be this problem, but the fix is so simple that I really think it should be implemented as soon as possible: setup the ELB to listen the 80 port and do a http 301 permanent redirect to the same URL with "http" replaced by "https". Never did it myself (I'm a old diehard UNIX graybeard that does things by hand), but I think it's just a new listener on the ELB configuration page on EC2. Vanamonde
I don't know what any of that means, but we have passed it along to our contact.

This happened to me around the 502 era but before the age of darkness. The shortcut I always used stopped working. So I used a search engine to get me a link to the forum and once connected I just created a new shortcut. Has worked since, as long as the forum is actually up. Yep, but there're probably links using only http scattered around the World for ages by now. It's easier to do a http 301 than trying to fix all of them! 4x4cheesecake
Oh, interesting... that's why some links in CKAN are broken as well. Mostly applies to older mods and I thought their threads might got deleted at some point but adding the "https://" in front of the link gets me to the actual thread now. Lisias
Hi! We have yet another one of that questions that are not questions! It came to my attention that the KSP API in https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/ksp/api/ isn't online yet! If by some reason this would be a easy fix, I would like to request the new owners to put it back online as soon as possible. Otherwise, please advise and I will try to publish it temporarily on my site.

But the links for downloading the documentation in XML and HTML format are there.
AlamoVampire
Given that the 6 month mark from when it was announced the forum license was renewed for 6 months is next month has there been any word on that front or can it safely be assumed at this time our time here is 42 days left before what could likely be a full shut down in march when said license runs out? 003502152025 003802152025 found the precise 6 month mark Edited Saturday at 06:38 AM by AlamoVampire

I would have hoped the powers that be who renewed 5 months ago would be more open and communicative. Given their silence up until now, I am left with the distinct feeling we have 42 days left as a community. Is it negative to hold this stance? Yes. Is it the safe bet? Also yes. Until the actual license holder says something I will be expecting the worst. Sad as that is to say. 01102152025 thanks @Vanamonde

They'll probably pay when the date draws nearer.

Not in the light of everything that has happened with the 2 outages, consistent 502 bad gateways, the rampant silence from companies that owned/own the ip, and the unmitigated disaster that is/was ksp2. Until proven otherwise its wiser/safer to believe in 41 days this community will stop being a thing. The evidence for this is spelled out in those outages, the bad gateways and the volumetric silence from the true powers that be. I would rather expect our end and be proven wrong than hope we see april and be proven wrong. 214702152025

Of course I can't say it's 100% what's gonna happen, just that it'd be very weird of them to do that.
