I think it's 1/40 isn't it? I've not seen it yet myself (been playing since 0.90 came out).

I've only seen it once since 1.0 and that was in 1.0.4

I make a habit of screenshotting every time I see the castle, which was alot in .90(multiple times a week)

I am curious tho, is there somewhere on the mun where there is a sand castle? I'd love to recreate that scene

not sure how often it spawns, 10-20% of the time I think. It's random though.

It's rare but it's there, I'm not sure if it really counts as an easter egg though, as usually easter eggs reference something outside the game, like the face of Carl Sagan on Tylo (since removed).

It's been coming and going since 0.18.4.....but it's still neat to see when it pops up.

You'll notice that the shadows go in different directions, as highlighted here.

I find it hard to believe that you actually photographed a Kerbal on the Mun. This must be a hoax.

I suspect the probability of it showing up was greatly reduced somewhere along the way. I've been here since 0.23, and haven't had it come up even once.

Considering the munar dust is extremely dry and hard to pack... that you need to provide moisture to form it...

Never seen the castle. What I've seen, however, is jeb without a helmet, in the Mun.

The hoax mun landing shot was added by a mod. The castle is a stock thing. Perhaps Kerbals on EVA should have an option to build a castle (like plant flag) when they're feeling very happy (and are somewhere a castle could be built).
