I can agree to a 10 minute time limit for fuel or match time, whichever comes first.

Erm, I'd want to add fuel to meet a 10 minute flight time. I think I was conservative anyway and they should manage (Wheesleys for sure), but would like the option to change that. All rule changes that alter design balance should really be left to the next contest.

The time limit of ten minutes could be raised to 15.but imagine 45 minutes of this...NEVERMIND, no time limits. Nothing crazy is likely to happen anyway.

I made a lighter version of my plane (trimmed the fat, dumped the draggy weapons and draggier parts). I'll submit it when I tweak it.

We gotta get some of the parts checked for aerodynamic drag. There is no way that a rocket pod should have the same drag as a 1 x 1 flat plate stuck to the nose and I'm pushing it full on.

I'm not kidding. With two rocket pods my top speed was 392 m/s at 200 m ASL. I dumped the pods and my speed shot up to 432 m/s.

I gave my previous plane entry a serious diet, dropped nearly 3 1/2 tonnes, removed some draggy parts.......

I've just realised how to turn the jammer on. I'm a nonce - I thought the blasted thing didn't work!

Edit: I think BDA 0.9.5 fixed it.

Edit2: Now I'm confused. It works on some planes but not others?

If you are too close to another plane its radar burns through the jammer.

That must be it. I've posted on the discussion thread about the use of ground radar to create more tactical contests.

By too close I mean within 10 km. You need multiple jammers otherwise,then that range decreases and it becomes more consistent.

Umm, jammer is 20 points. I will likely lower it to 14, and you will just squeeze in.(Not because of him, jammers are inconsistent,but more consistent than 4 flares, less so than 5.)

8 flares= 24

1 jammer=15

2 20mm=14

2 ammo cans=8

The most successful one is I think 31 parts in total, and hits at 58 points. It doesn't really "turn", it enters a "controlled stall".
