That'll be a good engine for when you need the thrust line below the centerline, as opposed to above (more common than one might expect).

Do you think it's possible to do pusher mesh variants of some of the engines? (mainly just flipping the intakes and exhausts around)

All you have to do is flip the engine and set it to reverse thrust?

Right, but the mesh will still show the exhausts and intakes facing the "wrong" way

Oh I see.

Maybe blackheart could add a pusher prop engie that is historical. Maybe something like on the Shiden?

Most pushers used standard engines, modified for pusher use; the XP-55 Ascender ("Ass-ender") used an Allison V12 ("Whirlwind"), the J7W Shinden used a Mitsubishi HA-43 (based on the Kinsei), and the Saab 21 used a DB605 ("Tornado"). Hence why I was requesting an alternate mesh for pushers.

Everything was simpler than expected. Tested on 1.2 and seems like just a plugin update is all it needed so far. So current version is actually working fine with an updated firespitter. On the other hand, I did take a shot on reverse engines. I was planning this for a long time but problems do persist and I remember why I put them on hold. Since it's a mesh switch, I couldn't freely change length and design. The propeller must stay there (and thrustTransform) and the base should be where it is in the config's nodes. I may be able to do some trickery in the configs but I'm still not sure about that. All in all this was the result:

Not as streamlined as it should have been. But still, it required minimal changes. It's not an exact copy anymore though. I just added another body type within the model and used mesh switch for now. I'll see if I can implement changing mesh as you reverse thrust. This is experimental for now. Let me know what you think.

Good news! Hopefully this will be the same for many firespitter dependent mods.:)

Model looks wonderful! I love pusher aircraft.
With the reverse Daimler-Benz I could make a decent SAAB 21.<3 Although that one uses a pretty fat one compared to the sleek design you have.:)

So a balanced version is planned for KSP1.2? Are you going for the pre-release or will you wait for the full-release?

If you take suggestions for further development: turbo props would be nice.

The thing I love most about this pack is its simplicity by the way. It adds some verry nice parts and thats it; nothing more - nothing less.

Page 2 shows that he made an NK-12, but he is not sure wether it will be realsed sooner or later.

He is going to be adding engines in "stages" first, then he will sttop the "stages" thing and put any era that you have

@maculator Balancing the remaining new parts that is. Most of the parts are already balanced. We're just tweaking based on the feedback we get. Also, since I'm way too lazy to find biplane engines and it's hard to find files of them, I'll move to the last stage for now (just like what Murican_Jeb said, it's categorized by era). So expect turboprops on future releases.

Regarding the release, my config maker has real life matters as well so I told him to work on the mod in his own time. If it's done before release of 1.2, then it's out this pre-release. Regardless, the mod is working if you update firespitter.
