AlamoVampire
Ok so im flying from my home airport to San Francisco in msfs2020. I run live weather and live traffic for added realism (live wx is mandatory on vatsim) so as i was turning onto the runway for takeoff i heard an airline call out they were 15nm out inbound for the ILS of the rwy i was on. I took off and as i was turning to intercept my SID route to join my flight path atc calls out to another airliner warning them of me. Nothing new in flight sim but i hit up flightradar 24 and BOTH the airlines (the one closest to final approach AND the one advised of me as traffic were both actually in the air and exactly where i expected given ehat my virtual ai atc and the first airline were saying/doing. Made me giggle 003506142023 i just had a near collision at 36000!!! I was climbing up to cruise and another 737 (company traffic oddly enough) and my TCAS went nuts calling TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! Then it entered into 3nm of my aircraft and TCAS suddenly screams CLIMB! CLIMB! CLIMB! So I slam my autopilot disconnect and give it all it will take and went for a 7000FPM climb. All the while my AP disconnect alarms screaming, TCAS keeps barking CONFLICT CLIMB! Fun moment! Conflict avoided, now at cruise! FL380 005106142023 less than 100nm until TOD or top of descent. My flight plan has me a block time of 4 hours with an estimated 3h32m of flight time. Ive had my 737-700 pegged at .82 mach since cruise altitude was established. Im curious how fast this flight will end up being! 70nm until TOD 185NM until KSFO 031006142023 unsure if it counted taxi to gate but my flight log shows i was in flight 3h24m35s i reduced speed to .79 mach 66nm from TOD. Overall a smooth flight! 035806142023 Edited June 14, 2023 by AlamoVampire

I don't really need to drive from my rented flat to where I work. Just "a little crowded" on the metro. Then two days later he told me he had sold this 408 and bought the ET7. I think he was joking until I just saw the screenshot about he was chatting with the NIO's new car delivery assistance: Congratulate, your car is in production now and the frame number is out. The car will be produced in 2~3 weeks and will be delivered to the delivery centre within 3~5 days. "Dad, fun fact, this car is more expensive than my boss driving..." HOORAY! Have to say the HUD is really useful for me, the rookie driver
LittleBitMore
On a whim, broke a personal record and walked nearly 3 miles for about an hour to a movie theater, since I was unable to drive. Watched Elemental, and loved it (I don't understand why everyone dislikes it, I thought it was cute)

Shpaget
Not today, but a few days ago, I got my hands on a brand new fiber laser! A 60W MOPA thingy. It can cut through 0,4 mm alu and steel plate with ease, and even 1 mm brass sheet (took a bit longer). pew pew

I'm not quite sure if it's a gearbox or something - the big one behind and connecting with the engine because I never saw a real one for trucks. Ben J. Kerman
I went to New York and visited the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, and saw Concorde G-BOAD and OV-101 (Space Shuttle Enterprise)! I didn't get to go inside the Concorde because the thing where they take you inside was sold out, and it's closed until next year starting July 1, as it's being taken offsite for maintenance according to the website. Also I think I saw a LOT flight crew coming out of a hotel when we were walking on the sidewalk and I rode on a train for the first time in a while, so that was cool as well. If anyone's interested I might post pictures of the planes later/tomorrow, I'm tired since I just got back after being in NYC all day and I took way too many pictures that I now have to sift through. TheSaint
Replacing the timing belt on the truck this weekend. That was one of the first maintenance jobs I did on the truck (and on any automobile in general) when I first bought it, seven-and-a-half years ago. But this time I have Thing #1 helping me. It's nice to have a strong back to do the heavy lifting, it's nice to pass down knowledge, and it's especially nice to just spend time doing stuff with my son. So despite the fact that I am super sore right now, and the fact that we're only about two-thirds done at this point, I had a great day. When hearing “truck” I think V8 with a timing chain, although I’m sure there are plenty of modern V8s with OHCs…

steve9728
A friend of mine is going to graduate school in New York. Then this guy is having trouble with the really expensive rent in New York. Every time she talks to me about this, I even have a crazy thought, "Oh, London isn't that expensive". (Although I can't afford London's rent at all) Edited July 2, 2023 by steve9728
StrandedonEarth
We were camping glamping this last weekend, and while I brought my laptop, it never came out of the bag all weekend. That was rather unusual. Granted, I wa still surfin on my phone occasionally, on slow data, but still. I mean, I didn't even game! Only downside of camping this time of year is that the stars don't really come out until we've gone to bed...

We kept talking about going camping, but all of the other events this summer just crowded it out. Kids are teens and doing their own things now.
