SunlitZelkova
The Japanese text reads "this is the real space". I think that is intended as a jab at Virgin Galactic (below the internationally recognized standard) and Blue Origin (lasts under 30 minutes), probably meant to encourage other Japanese billionaires to use Roscosmos instead. My theory is somewhat further evidenced by this- For those who won't click the tweet, the selling points in each of the colored images is as follows- Red = Fast, Green = Safe, Blue = Cozy, while the final one also says "Fly with Rocosmos!". If I could could pick any of the commercial space services to fly on, I would personally choose Space Adventures/Roscomos/Soyuz. Excellent safety record, and I would have a lot more confidence having a professional cosmonaut as my chauffeur instead of the American alternatives, which are either entirely automated (that is, no option for crew take over in an emergency) (New Shepard, Dragon) or use an unnerving mission profile (SpaceShipTwo and SpaceShipThree). Spoiler In case you're wondering, it's the Kirov herself after twenty years hulked out with minimum maintenance by a crew of a dozen. kerbiloid
It's Proton, it blows with brown-red on launch, so there is no sense in painting the roof every time. Probably.

SunlitZelkova
I think the power grid the ground control centers are connected to, and the communications to the centers, will be destroyed by cyber attack long before the sats themselves get targeted (that may be what the poster was referring to, but I thought I would say anyways). Well, the contrary reports that satellites in general are prime targets and are already getting hit clandestinely all over the place, by groups that are far below nation-state cybertrooper level, come from more sources than just the irate US Space Force. And no, I don't mean piggybacking your Internet.
sh1pman
Roscosmos shows some missile launches, and at 0:40 there’s a missile that I can’t recognize with an… interesting colour scheme. Is that “Yars”? Looks too fat. Can it be the new “Sarmat”? Also, happy RVSN Day!
SunlitZelkova
An English search for “Russian missile test black and white paint scheme” yields articles about Zircon and the recent ASAT test in the normal view, but interestingly, what appears to be the exact same image/video in the images section. As I typed this, I just realized that that is how search engines work. Yes, it is Sarmat. See kerbiloid’s post below 8 hours ago, sh1pman said: Also, happy RVSN Day! Congratulations to your nuclear veterans on continuing to help preserve strategic stability for 61 years (or more if the “engineering” units with the R-5 count as part of RVSN history) ——— I‘ll actually take this opportunity to ask a question for anyone to answer- I have seen a single claim from Steven J. Zaloga’s “The Kremlin’s Nuclear Sword: The Rise and Fall of Russia’s Strategic Nuclear Forces 1945-2000” claiming that a nuclear warhead (not the dirty bomb one (which he also mentions), an actual fission device) was proposed or even began development for the R-2. Is this true? It was only a single sentence, with no further details, and very easily could have been a mistake. It feels unlikely given the size of nuclear weapons at the time, along with accuracy issues. Edited December 17, 2021 by SunlitZelkova Stand corrected the missile type

Sarmat is marketed as a drop-in replacement for Voevoda, so it makes absolute sense they're externally quite indistinguishable. There's speculation Makeyev have relied on their usual engine-inside-tank shenanigans to squeeze out more performance.

Or a mockup was fitting. (Not that Makeev rockets had something similar to the Utkins' ones) Both firms have rather specific head propulsion systems, and both Makeev's classics are obviously useless for ICBM.
