I'm glad you like it, but the part count is a little ridiculous - around 600, not including the landers. I was thinking I might make a mod version, maybe Tweakscale the wings, swap the 48 Rapier engines (!) with fewer Near Future Aeronautics engines, etc.
Kerbolitto
@JacobJHC Incredible video, some of these planets looks amazing (Spud !). I really like how you used MakingHistory parts, they allow a lot more versatility to our ships ! How many years / centuries took this mission ? :p Edited September 10, 2018 by Kerbolitto

The Minmus Derp
I am designing a plane that is capable of doing this, and landing in a tiny lake on kerbin, doing a submarine dive, and taking off and returning to the KSC.

My idea is using a small(ish) plane that can separate from the spacecraft and dive into the mountain lake with some clever manouvierresTM and then dive to the bottom, so i rocket out superfast and land outside the red circle. I really like your drone launcher concept and the detaching mothership. I also found it very interesting how you used fuel cells to give your ion crafts longer burn times. jinnantonix
@JacobJHC Very impressive video. Did you use any visual enhancement mods? What is your secret to using the camera to get those smooth shots of warping? I don't recognise some of the parts. Are they from Making History, or are you using any part mods? Also, where did you get the music from? Edited September 14, 2018 by jinnantonix

Also, where did you get the music from? Thanks! I used Spectra and the OPM visual overhaul mods for visuals. To make sure the camera had smooth warping shots I just had to time warp slow enough my computer didn't freak out and freeze. All the parts are either stock or making history. No parts mods were used. All the music came from the YouTube audio library and one came from incompetch.com
adamgerd
Attempting the challenge, probably will be difficult since my first attempt today failed miserably, probably because I did not bring enough fuel for the 3 parts to dock and nor do I have much experience docking, so I might've wasted some trying to dock

This is the hardest thing I've done to date, and took me about 3 weeks I think. Maybe do a practice run to Duna and Ike. The skills needed are similar, but it's a lot easier.
