Nuclear engine to orbit

due to the lack of electrical power from my solar panel i didn't manage to get in to quite te right orbit, so i recommend launching at dawn.

but i think that my periaps and apoapsis confirm that this craft has adequate performance to get in to a stable orbit!

i must say i'm pretty proud of myself:)

 

does anyone want de craft file? it's made in 1.3 but i don't know if that's a problem?

Thanks! i'm working on a manned version now but i'm running in to a weird (infiniglide??) bug.

at a certain altitude and rpm the thing starts spinning faster and faster on it's own withouth the engines eventually desintergrating the spacecraft.

control surfaces are all inactive. i only adjust the limit  to keep the rpm's down.

That is correct. I momentarily ran out of electrical power just before staging and since i was already 30 minutes in to the launch i decided to "cheat" later i just added some batteries.

 

I really don't see the problem here

Nice feat, but I'm not a fan of the cheat menu.  That's all.

Firstly - KDenLive is better than filmora and also free - I used filmora for my first video then switched. 

Secondly - I love the innovation, not something I would have ever considered as a concept, so this is why I trawl the KSP forums looking at stuff.... very inspiring.

Thirdly - there was a challenge on getting to orbit only with nuke engines - I know this because I tried and failed. You should find the challenge and submit this. :D:D:D

EDIT: Forthly - if electric power in the dark was an issue - why not use a nuclear power generator thingy? Just offset it into the main fuel tank so it doesn't affect the looks. You got nuke engines already so no issue with radiation....

Including the photo suggested a cheat was needed...  if it's irrelevent, then why bother posting it?
