A book is a screen.

It just has a limited refresh rate and runs an extremely rudimentary operating system.

But the graphics fidelity is off the charts and it has an advanced haptic-feedback interface. There is also an olfactory age-indicator.

Say, 2 = "tkhy", 3 = "shchy",  so, "zytkhyshch" = "about 2-3"

So, speaking a proper language, you can get even 2+2=18

2+2 approaches 4 with increasing precision of calculation. You won't need to worry about that until calculus, in the meanwhile just graphically approximate.

As we presume that these values are more or less equal, it's better to write this as 

2 + 2 - 4 → 0
or
|2 + 2 - 4| < ε
