It it feared by Japanese air crews so Rasputin flys with landing gear down so the pilots mistake it as a I-15. Rasputin, now with his 4 plane squad with other pilots Vladimir Lenin, A Very skilled flying Polar Bear ace, and The TSAR who has become a expert pilot. To make it historically accurate the Japanese would be flying slow out dated biplanes. When they are in range of the much better Russian fighters they throw their gear up and destroy all the planes with their 20mm cannons.
