This happens as soon as I enter the editor after clicking edit on a recovered craft. This is after I tried uninstalling Scrapyard - with Scrapyard the Edited percentage is always zero. I build the craft, roll to launchpad, recover to VAB, wait for recovery, click edit, and immediately get the above - I have to rebuild the whole vessel from almost scratch if I want to refuel it. I think I've narrowed it down to Tweakscale. Which so many mods are dependant on going without is not really an option. If anyone else is having the same problem, my new approach is to not worry about re-using parts (because it's no longer possible), and change the KCT settings to increase the build factor. That way I still get benefits from re-using parts I've used before, I just have to rely on the increased production speed, rather than being able to re-use anything. I play with 230 mods, and none of them depend on Tweakscale. Not criticizing you, just pointing that that there are very few mods which depend on Tweakscale. I know there's an option to stop it overriding the vanilla Launch button, but I don't see anything (in Settings or actual config files) that might point to stopping it from overriding the Recover button. I'm sure there are use cases for recovering directly to the VAB or the SPH, but I'd prefer to just use the vanilla recovery method (saving a click and making recovery a touch less tedious). I can mess with Module Manager configs, and I've done part creation, but this type of modding (where it's packaged into a .dll) is a bit beyond me. I can read the code enough to guess that it probably has something to do with the Start() function in KCT_Flight.cs but I wouldn't know how to insert a reference to a config setting that could disable the modded behavior.. Can I follow the same process as a module to modify? I have already found where the value needs to be changed but it's a resurce and not a module. Any suggestions? When this happens the frame rate drops to single digets and I am unable to do anything except close ksp. I am only expirencing this problem on the latest save of my carreer mode save, my next latest save doesn't have this problem. I need help figuring out what is causing this problem. Follow up on my bug report. I haven't gotten any word from anyone on the FAR thread but I did try removing FAR from my GameData folder to see if that fixed the problem. It did fix the lag and the debug consule spam but the main problem still persists. Like for instance I'm not able to enter most of the buildings at the space center and the none of the exit buttons work. FasterThanFlourite Posted April 25, 2022 Share Posted April 25, 2022 If I am in Space Center view and have the KCT window open (symbol with red clock arms), then go into R&D view and then back to the Space Center, the KCT window has closed (white arms) and I need to open it up again. Is this intended behavior, @linuxgurugamer? If this is normal, would it be possible to change it so that KCT always stays open, unless one specifically clicks the KCT button? pTrevTrevs Posted May 6, 2022 Share Posted May 6, 2022 Having a weird problem with a particular save of mine; KCT just stopped working one day and the icon disappeared from my toolbar. It's still there on every other savegame I have and I can use it like normal in them, but for my main file it's nowhere to be seen. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I can supply a .log and other data if necessary but I question how useful that would be since there's not a specific 'event' I can point to in the log as the issue here. Well, no matter, I 'fixed' the issue by copying in another copy of the KCT_Settings file from another save. After looking more closely myself I found out that the original one for the offending save had a huge chunk of code missing, although I'll swear before God that I've never even opened the file before. After updating, the KCT dialog window doesn't show up in KSC and I get a full log of KeyNotFoundException. I suspect it may be due to a conflict with HETTN (which was also recently updated). pTrevTrevs Posted May 17, 2022 Share Posted May 17, 2022 Having another problem (fortunately it's one that I've seen others experience before) where the KCT window breaks down and appears as this immovable bar on the right side of my screen: I've seen this happen both after leaving the VAB and adding something to the build list. It seems like it's a problem with this particular save since I can reverse this by rolling back to an earlier persistent file. Unfortunately, the problem pops up again shortly after loading an earlier save, usually from the causes mentioned above. That looks like something that happened to me a couple of years ago when the build queue in one of my .sfs files got corrupted somehow. Depending on how valuable you consider your current build queue/warehoused vessels you can try either a quick (nuke the queue) or more methodical (remove one vessel at a time and test) method to fix this. Load KSP and go to KSC screen. From pause menu make a named save. Make a copy of the save then open that save in a good text editor then find the section: SCENARIO { name = KerbalConstructionTimeData ... } Inside this section there are lists of KCTVessel nodes representing the individual vessels under construction/stored in the warehouses. Carefully, delete the KCTVessel nodes (all at once for the nuke solution attempt) or individually. Save the file. Reload the save into KSP and see if the problem is fixed. If trying the bit-by-bit approach may need to edit and load multiple times until you find and remove the corrupted KCTVessel node. Thinking about this while typing, it could also be that one of your mods has updated since a vessel was added to the queues/warehouses and a part that was on the vessel is no longer present in the mod. I pruned out the most recently added ship from the build list, and upon loading the game the KCT window worked normally, but then I went to fly a certain ship (one that was already in flight prior to all this) and the window broke again within minutes.
