Every other year or so my wife teaches theater at our homeschool co-op. Each year when she is trying to decide what play to perform I suggest Serpico. She just rolls her eyes.

They should perform the “HMS Pinafore”. Or whatever the proper name of that play is

Looking forward to seeing what the Dune trailer looks like. Hopefully it doesn't suck so I can watch the movie. On a streaming TV level, Tales fro the Loop is pretty interesting. It;s NOT science fiction, it's a fantasy... sort of "Meow Wolf" like (which you'll only understand if you've been to Santa Fe, and visited Meow Wolf).

I'm intrigued. Hopefully it will intrigue my wife.

Snowpiercer (2020), series

After the endless seven years of waiting, they have made a remake of Snowpiercer (2013).
Why must we wait so long?

If KSP had railways...

But at least we can discuss how to do ISRU and closed ecosystem in the endlessly moving train. Given resources: snow, air, sometimes light.

Blood Machines (2019) series.

Not that magnificent, but the futuristic spaceship interiors (if blown - exteriors) look quite cozy for me.

Evil (2019) series.

Not a sci-fi, mostly a soft family horror. Sometimes interesting ideas about the fear and dreams, and nice augmented reality monsters.

Upload (series)

For me, looks very similar to Pandora (series).

Numerous virtual GUI look nice for me.

Watched it (season 1, anyways). I thought there was some clever writing in it.

I can't help but think that this will be totally bogus, dude...

Also, just in case anyone missed the Super Bowl edition of the TG2 trailer, here it is. Re-watched the original last weekend which re-infused my blood with the need for speed. There is some behind-the-scenes commentary as well. According to IMDB the release has been pushed back to December...

E: Oh wow, it didn't merge with my previous post like I expected it too

I didn't expect something clever, I watched them both just for visual effects...

But if imagine an augmented reality future, it seems good for me.

P.S.
Oops, it also has sound!
I watched it with earphones off...

I'm kind of excited about this, but I'm worried how they'll pull it off.

I'm worried that it'll forever be denied to me as it's on Apple TV.

Also, Asimov's books haven't been turned into very good movies, historically.

In any case, perhaps it's time to start rereading it?

By all means. One of my favorite series.

Another thing, I'm curious to see just how much of Robot and Empire they're going to include. After all, they are one big story. There's enough material for several seasons, should they attempt to closely follow the story.

It just remains to decide the reading order. I know Asimov himself suggested chronological order, as opposed to publishing order, but there are arguments against that:
