Hi everyone!

Whilst I am working on putting together a set of icons and contracts for AngleCan Achievement Tree,  i wonder how practical it is for a flag planting on the two comets.

Could someone please give me some advice on whether crewed missions to Halleys and 67P work orbcould be expected?

Okay. KSC switcher works great. Thank you! Do you by chance have any tips on how to get the oceans on titan to show up again? I have the latest versions of eve and scatterer because I'm also using volumetrics.

Further to this? Is a flag planting mission to Venus also acceptable for a flag and footprints to everywhere?

This will depend on the player's settings. With part pressure limits enabled there are no stock parts that survive to the surface of Venus in KSRSS.

MMM. Okay - thanks!

I think then that maybe I'll treat Venus like a gas planet - flyby, orbit, crewed orbit and flying high as being the four different contracts/icons.  Maybe flying low for Venus.

Hello!

I am new to KSRSS Reborn and I have a question: when you have Reborn with Parallax, which mod generates the rocks on the Moon's surface, KSRSS or Parallax?

1. If it is KSRSS, is it possible to reduce the amount of non-collider rocks on the surface and if so how?

2. If it is Parallax I will ask in that thread.

Thanks!

Hey all! So I'm currently having an issue where none of the oceans on titan show up.  I have the latest versions of scatterer, eve and eve volumetrics. I've tried using an earlier version of scatterer but that just breaks the volumetrics. Anyone have some thoughts on how I can fix this?

Since you are making a fresh install, could you please attempt to replicate my issue? It takes less than 1 minute :)

Put any craft on the launch pad, then open the cheat menu > Set Orbit, select Europa and write 0 on the Semi-Major Axis, then click Set Orbit twice.

This will make it so the SMA is set to the minimum possible and then teleport you to said orbit.

Once you are in Europa's orbit, do you notice that tremendous, neverending lag?

go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\KSRSS\EVE

delete Geysers.cfg

hello im new to the forum, (its my first post) and ksrss, i recently switched from playing on 2.5x scale stock system to this mod, im having a couple issues with it and i was wondering if u guys could help me.
titan and jupiter have these strange white outlines around them in map view, they change size as i zoom-scroll, any ideas on what causes this or a fix? im playing on 8k textures, I dont have scatterer installed as i didnt think it was necessary as my computer isnt all that good, im only playing on 8k cus callisto for some reason was a solid black sphere with 4k textures, switching resolution fixed that.  would installing scatterer fix this?
here are the outlines around jupiter and titan

only visual mod i have is eve, and i suppose the ksrssve that came bundled with this mod.
also mars appears somewhat 'glossy' with a pronounced orange highlight around its edges is this normal?
https://imgur.com/a/mars-gloss-fgxK77W
edit: found out i was using an old version of sigma dimensions, will try updating it and delete if it some of this.
edit2: didnt fix the titan and jupiter issues :/

Ah, yeah stuff is a little chaotic with this mod. What's happened is that you've downloaded the old release. I can give you a correct link, with a caveat. There are two (that I know of) branches of new stuff. One is called KSRSS Reborn, and at this moment, it's my belief that this is the most compatible with other stuff. There's also another branch that I know people are using but I don't know anything else about it. I'm using Reborn, and the link for it is here:  https://gitlab.com/ksrss/KSRSS/-/tree/reborn?ref_type=heads   There's a control on the page for switching branches - the other (even newer) one is the EarthHomeWorld branch - maybe someone will comment about it.

Anyway, download it with the blue Code button, unzip it somewhere temporary, and then find the KSRSS folder within the unzipped folder tree. That's the folder that goes into your GameData folder. Also please take note that for this to work, you will need to remove everything KSRSS-related that you have already installed. The only folder you should have is the single KSRSS folder embedded in the download zip. If you want clouds and atmo effects you can install the most recent Eve and Scatterer - without any other "visual" configs like Spectra, etc - KSRSS has built-in configs for both Eve and Scatterer.

okay i redownloaded it like u said from the new link u provided. thanks for u help btw, had to restart a new save but alot of stuff is fixed, some stuff isnt, the outline around jupiter is gone, but not around titan.
also earths blue seems somewhat too dark, and the sun looks tiny, its as if its default glare has been removed, does anyone have any advice for a fix or knows the cause?
ive attached some images.

https://imgur.com/a/6tAtfpx

also module manager says it found 30 errors related to gamedata/ksrss/patches/ksrss_deployedscience cfg, not sure what this means, but i think it might affect the little data collected from certain science experiments.
re-ordering the order of some mods to see if that helps right now. ill edit this when i know.

edit- okay i did some research looks like im gonna need to get scatterer, didnt wanna get it but i think im gonna, i think the problem is caused by cepheus sunflare, (which needs scatterer to work) which is bundled with this mod somehow, though i dont wanna go ripping random files from the folders so i think im gonna have to get it, hope this fixes the titan outline,

there is nothing bundled in the KSRSS Reborn download from Gitlab. I dunno what you got there but here's a picture of a minimal KSRSS install. If you just do this, and nothing more than this, then you should have a working KSRSS, which you can then add the rest of your mods onto. But it's best to start a solar system change from scratch instead of adding it to an existing install. That way you can do just this much, test it, make sure it's good, then continue adding others if you want.

also, when i land on the sea on titan, its suddenly pitch black, when i eva my kerbal theyre able to swim but its still pitch black no matter how much i zoom out. also here are some screenshots of what my game looks like , im generally happy with it just some things, surface of titan looks way too dark, havent checked out the other planets, except the moon, which is fine.

also i installed EVE and scatterer through ckan :sealed:...
to download it i also have to download scatterer default config, is that the problem? should i try installing scatterer manually? if so any tips? scatterer with the default config seems to look fine around the earth-moon area where ive explored. apart from the sunflare looking a little small.
ive heard some people mention using an older version of ckan would that help? if so which one? im on 1.12.5 using scatterer v0.0878

I don't know how to fix your problem, but I can confirm that it does seem a little strange- based on what I've seen of RSS and this Huygens Descent Imager, Titan's surface shouldn't be that dark. Is it in the middle of the day? Twilight might just look a bit off.

If the black bothers you, I think you can turn it off in the settings. It should be labeled something like underwater effects. On Kerbin, it's blue. On Eve, it's purple. Titan's lakes,  made of methane and ethane, would indeed appear black. Turning it off would make you see a lot farther, however.

I haven't been back since that post, but I had a couple Dragonfly missions in flight so I landed one, and here's my screen now. I've made several changes since back then, that was over a year ago. So this is Reborn, TVC (both eve/scatterer from that), and the TUFX profile is either Steven_Colour_Hassel or Steven_Hassel_Lesserbloom (can't remember which) in the Lowlands. But yeah it's better for me with this configuration. TUFX can reeeeeeally change the color of the atmosphere so I got very different lookgs going through all my profiles. But that persistent "in shadow" isn't happening for me any more with this setup. Dunno about the sunflare -- as seen from where?

will try the mods youve listed, the sunflare as seen from well earth i suppose it seems a litte small, and from pluto in map view the sun is almost indistinguishable from a skybox star (im using poods deep star map skybox) which doesnt seem right, i understand that the apparent dimensions of the sun are equal to the dimensions of the moon in the earth sky otherwise eclipses wouldnt be possible. but the size of the flare seems like it should be a little larger or have bigger more prominent rays. or am i tripping?  in the last imgur album i linked theres an image of what the sun looks like from orbit around titan does it look right,  or am i like trippin?
