UPDATE: I removed the paralax mods, Paralax 2.0.8, Paralax - Stock Planet Textures 2.0.8, Parallax 2.0.8 and Outer Planets Mod - Parallax with Scatter v1.0.5 and it no longer infinite loads.

I deleted those configs and it still didn't work unfortunately.

I'd say it's the same issue that plagued me trying to remove Didymos from the DART mod and trying to make some Parallax configs for OPX Inner Worlds which is basically some weird Kopernicus error I don't understand.

Your best bet is to uninstall all of your mods and reinstall them, until you find the insubordinate mod.

I had infinite loading screen, then removed MPE, and it took me on a time travel mission to the beginning of career.  I loaded a save and all the vectors on the navball were in one direction.  I tried to apply advanced multidimensional physics to recreate a situation and then realized the universe was telling me to re-start my career at the beginning, armed with more advanced knowledge of rocketry and station design.

I was also running into the loading issue reported by others.  I started experiencing it after updating to version 1.1 through CKAN, but since I had also added a few other mods I went through a process of reinstalling and updating all my mods until I got back to everything installed, and the issue remained. Checking my log file I saw that Kopernicus was in a "object reference not set to an instance of an object" loop so I figured it was either OPM or MPE, the only 2 planet mods I have. Having only OPM installed loaded the game fine, so it was something to do with the MPE installed through CKAN

I removed MPE in CKAN, and instead installed manually using the Github download, and without making any tweaks to the mod (such as removing Parallax configs) the game is now loading normally again and all MPE functionality seems to be working as normal.

As a side note, I absolutely love this mod. It, OPM, and a few others, have completely reinvigorated my love for KSP and have brought me back into the game after many years of being away.

SpaceDock and CKAN currently only carry the initial 1.1.0 build which includes very broken Parallax Configs,
I have tried several times to upload the 1.1.1 update to SpaceDock to no avail at this point. Anyone intending to use MPE's Parallax integration should install the mod from GitHub!

I have added a disclaimer to the front page as a temporary warning while I remain unable to upload the new build.

That's wild, I've never heard or seen any mod produce an effect like that, I will attack that issue by fixing the infinite loading bug (which should stop the subsequent occurrences).

I will attempt to keep in touch with you regarding playtesting opportunities in the near future.

Made my first trip to Zore today, and I'm seemingly have the invisible planet issue mentioned awhile back in this thread. Tried both fixes I found earlier in thread, first adding the .cfg file to change the template body from Gilly to Bop, then tried changing the MPE\KopConfigs\Zore.cfg directly and neither resolved the issue. Did a clean install of MPE, no change. Going to include as much hopefully helpful info as I can below.

Edit: Along with being invisible, the craft I have orbiting Zore (which btw is still plenty visible from Map view/Tracking Station) shows an orbital speed of 0 that does not change at any point in the orbit, nore when performing a maneuver in any direction.

Edit 2: When switching to the craft from the tracking station, BetterTimeWarp for some reason loads in with a timescale of 0.1x speed, which is a behavior I've never encountered until this little strangeness with Zore. Of coures I know the behavior of that mod isn't something to troubleshoot here, but thought it would be worthwhile to mention.

I can say that i had this issue as well. I believe this is an issue in part caused by KSS2. There is a disclaimer on the Github for KSS2 some parallax mods conflict with KSS2's parallax configs. When i had this issue, to fix it I simply removed the parallax folder from MPE, and that fixed it. This is my experience though: It could differ from the experience of others.

Alright I've been narrowing down the cause and it's come down to Parallax. All non-MPE related mods removed brought back Zore. Slowly added everything back until it vanished again after reinstalling Parallax. Reinstalled everything else except Parallax, Zore still visible. Reinstalled Parallax but deleted the Parallax configs within MPE and Zore is still visible.

 

Edit/Update: Put back the Parallax patch folder but commented out the Zore sections of the 3 .cfg files and Zore is once again visible and the other bodies still get their parallax (I assume, I didn't want to hack my orbit to them since I still want to enjoy travelling to them for the first time)

Tried a different OPM parallax mod. This one made by Lithium-7. 
It seems so far like any parallax mod that changes OPM(and presumably also MPE) conflicts with the most recent update. 

Haven't tried others yet but I haven't gotten any infinite loading  with Parallax, Parallax Stock Textures, and Parallax Scatter Textures so I'm not sure if Parallax itself is the issue.

 

Edit: Forgot Kcalbeloh had integrated parallax stuff. It doesn't trigger the loading glitch either so its probably something to do with the parallax mods for OPM? Not sure exactly what but it doesn't seem to be specifically changes to MPE(could be wrong though?) since with Lithium-7's mod I only installed the OPM additions. Not sure if Onesaltypringle's makes any changes to MPE however.

I am having the exact same issue, will try this and see if it works. Guess the parallax configs for Zore weren't properly removed in 1.1.1

Edit: It worked! Until I went in to land... Once it went from scaled space to PQS (or whatever the proper term is), it became extremely dark and partially transparent. As I got lower, it got slightly brighter, but even on the surface it was slightly transparent.

There is an unused texture file named Zore_colorNew.dds, but there is also one named Zore_color.dds. Zore happens to be the only planet in the mod that has two color texture files and looking at the KOP config for zore shows that colorNew is not used and "color" is used instead. Typo? Old files left in?

From what I can see from the "color" texture it is very transparent and lacks most of the texture compared to "colorNew", which may be causing the texture problem when you go to land.

I have found the fix for the infinite loading screen and the cause, or at least one of them. OPM Parallax causes it and the cause is the exactly the same as in this github issue from the Kcalbeloh System mod. I'm not sure how they fixed it on their end though. https://github.com/OneSaltyPringle/OPM-Parallax/issues/2

In this way you can rename "OPM_Parallax" in the gamedata to "zzzOPM_Parallax" and no more infinite loading occurs. However, I am unsure if it has any ingame problems past the title screen.

I also removed all three Zore's left over in the three configs in MPE.

I've yet to learn Parallax stuff to offer any help on that front, but I can say that transparent planet textures don't render transparent - the game stores specularity data in the alpha channel, so a texture might look in an image editor to be transparent and missing stuff, but it actually just has differing levels of shininess across it

The infinite loading screen with parallax occurs because there is no Material node in the scatters for Zore.  Adding one there fixes the issue.

Should we change the CKAN metadata to point to github only?

EDIT: I went ahead and did this; it should update in CKAN within 35 minutes.  We can always undo or change that, just let us know.

Parallax for MPE still not working. Conflicts at OPM_Parallax and any other Parallax that i use, GU, Kcalbeloh, Other Worlds Reboot. Still infinite loading

Tried to tinker around configs to bring their 1st line to others mod configs 1st line aka switching from @Parallax to Parallax etc and still not working

Yeah @Exo's Lab to be clear, and I don't know why we're all suddenly realizing this today (kcalbeloh and other worlds also do this):

This is going to apply to *every* top-level Parallax node, which means if you have other mods installed that have their own it will create multiple copies of the body configs.
