GoldForest
No. Nothing in KSP 1 is compatible with KSP 2.
RedderThanMisty
Unless someone writes some dodgy software to convert existing .craft files to whatever new format they're using, and are able to port over all of the assets, configs, and effects to the new game, no. Meredith Nathaniei
If that's the case, it's too bad.
pandaman
Personally, even though on the face of it it would be 'nice' to be able to import some favourite vessels from KSP1 into KSP2, I would prefer to design and build from scratch using the new UI anyway. That way there is no risk of any glitches caused by imperfect imports.

Not to mention balancing changes will mean that either way you're doing a lot of redesigning, and redesigning most of your vessel will probably be made a lot easier by starting from scratch than trying to work around what you already built. TLTay
It's possible that a lot of wings and control surfaces got the ax in favor of procedural, so I doubt even a simple craft converter would be useful.

It's highly, highly unlikely. Eventually, someone (a modder) may write some sort of program that transfers over a craft file but that's purely speculation based off of the projects we've seen for KSP 1. My best bet for KSP 1 craft conversion, besides just DIY, would be machine learning. I can't imagine human-written code being good at making procedural wings that closely match their patchwork counterparts. 44 minutes ago, AtomicTech said: Sweet, sweet news.
