Asteroids

I was just watching "For all Mankind" season 4 and I just realised that KSP 2 is missing asteroids at all. Everybody focused on new star systems and completely forgotten abou asteroids. I'm guessing that they may appear during resources milestone, but did anybody though to ask Nate about them?

++this, I don't recall it ever being mentioned. Really would like some asteroids and claws... If it wasn't mentioned I guess this will need to be moved to KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion.

I'd be very keen to see Asteroids appear in an interim update - for me they really added a great challenge in finding / capturing / mining them

They showed some pics of possible asteroids during a Dev update when they talked about CBT terrain

So to sum up this thread:

Chris mentioned them once, but they're not in the game currently and no one has actually said when or if they will be.

My personal speculation is that they will be in the game eventually, and we'll be able to build colonies on them.

Besides, you can look at the game files, there are several asteroid models. So they are definitely coming (Don't know when but my prediction would be with the interstellar or the exploration milestone).

The grabbing unit part does exist in the game's files.
