Some photos from Duna operations - part of my BMX initiative.

Bicycles Motorised for eXploration.

GbLkSKq.png

They're fast, they're light, they're pretty decent range for what they cost.

b5ICEZj.png

And boy are they good for publicity.

Going downhill is dangerous. Gotta keep your hand on those reaction wheels to limit flipping. Turns aren't that hard, but it is best at charging in a straight line.

2XAUFdZ.png

When not in use, the bike can be hooked up to a ship or base for safe keeping, though they're alright on their own.

h9dLNYw.png

Experiments to create an aquatic version have been .... interesting.

kerF1Nu.png

It's not exactly buoyant. Could be a cool way to explore under an ocean.

But for now, I'll stick to the dunes.

Anywhere youve detailed these wonderful bikes? They look to be the ideal railbike escape pod

Quite happy to credit the idea in any screenshot too and link any thread :)

The 'Pon Farr' Science Return Ship begins it's journey

KSP dawn patrol...

Volumetric clouds ahead....

gv83vIe.jpg

Getting up to altitude for FTL tugboat jump to the Jool system (damn bus is always late)...

mrGiTjB.jpg

Science container ship docked, orbiting Pol...

My 1st ever landing on Pol (or, as I like to call it, the Valley of the Poop Emojis)...

Rise of the Science Surfer...

OtVkY6B.jpg

That little science return container netted me over 15K in science points when it got back to Kerbin (accumulated over 2 years of Kerbal adventures and pizza crusts).

Just another good day/eve/night in Kerbaldom.

Yep, that last one would make James Cameron proud! :)

.....

If you mean for lighting on the ship(s), that is mostly from the FTL drive beacons (pinkish and red colors...you can tweak the R/B/G sliders for any color you want like on the regular lights in stock) and the bluish color is from stock lighting that I placed kinda inside other parts so they are hard to see but do a nice job of lighting the ships fore and aft.

Also using Planetshine, Distant Object and non-dimmed skybox via Texture replacer (as well as SVE/EVE/Scatterer etc).

Just time for one two quick images, the second is a close up of the first:

6uBMk3O.pngProject Kemini:  Kemini 2 and Kemini 3 were to practice orbital rendezvous manoeuvres, but Val in K2 got slightly carried away...

3.2 meters was close enough to warrant some rather "imaginative and colourful language" - as Mission Control described it - from Jachel and Alice Kerman in K3.
