astroheiko
The lander has successfully launched from Minona and returned to orbit. 122 records were collected and a rendezvous with the mothership is imminent. Before the lander can dock, I must attach the adapter piece for the Rover, which remained on Minona, to the claw. Then I grab the Narrow-Band scanner with the claw and maneuver the claw towards Cargo Bay. First, I dock the Narrow-band Scanner to the former docking port of the rover. Then I can bring the claw back to their place. Now I dock the lander to the lower end of the mothership, since we have to refuel once again.. Normally, I would use the additional tank and commute between mothership and Minona until the mothership is full. Since the gravity is so low, the whole mothership can land. Done. Now it is time to refuel. And noe let us go back to the orbit. Here you can see how the mother ship and the lander fit together. I can use all engines without the lander in the way. I am planning the maneuver to return to Gael, 3662 m/s dV should cost it and 8553 m/s dV I have available. 602 records I bring home, in 17 years. NISSKEPCSIM
Not today, but Friday... and only got around to finishing the mission report today. Launched 'Mohos 1+2' spacecraft, and conducted some "research" for the US Air Force. Also launched 'Gemini-10,' another USAF manned spy spacecraft. slubman
Had issues with the landing of an ore well on Ceti. The skycrane had a TWR < 1. So, refueled the transfer stage to use it as a lander stage instead. Unfortunately, it fell once the payload was decoupled, and will be written off the fleet. According to my own gameplay rules, once an engineer is landed there, and can go next to this stage, I will be able to delete it from the tracking station. Otherwise, the Ceti Space Station is getting busy too. Edited May 7, 2017 by slubman Adding something about the Ceti Space Station

Starman4308
First, I started a mission report thread: 3 minutes ago, Starman4308 said: Hello fellow KSPers. Inspired by @CatastrophicFailure's Alien Skies story, I'm running a career in Galileo's Planet Pack at 3.2x scale, deliberately not looking up anything about the planets. As a request: please don't spoil anything about Galileo's Planet Pack. I'm coming into this blind, using a combination of CactEye telescopes and probes to figure out what the system is like. Other key mods: FAR, Real Fuels-Stockalike, TAC Life Support, Kerbal Construction Time, Karbonite (with some custom Real Fuels configurations from some prior 6.4x stock system work), kOS, RemoteTech 2 (currently no communcations delay; that may change if I feel brave), and plenty of other mods. Funds rewards are set to 120%, science rewards to 40%. Note that the early posts are going to lack specific date information and even the year information will be outright guesses, but I'll try to keep better track in the future. Now, onto the good stuff The Astronomers of Gael -snip- Second, landed on Iota and Ceti: the landers are relatively minimalistic, just lightweight science parts that can be used for transmission. Got three contracts in one with this probe: I finished a "satellite in specific orbit" contract, a "test radiator in suborbital fight over Iota" contract, and a "impact Iota with at least 265 MJ of energy" contract. I'm pretty sure I only built it for the "test radiator" contract, and the other two were just gravy. The Reentry Particle Effect can lead to pretty spectacular reentries, especially if you have a service module burning up in the background. Right now, I'm finishing up on putting polar communication networks over Iota and Ceti: the idea there is that by having them in relatively high polar orbits, I can cover the vast majority of the surface, with only small equatorial dead spots that A, move as the moons orbit under that network, and B, are sometimes covered by direct communications to Gael anyways. That, and endless "rescue Kerbal from Gael orbit" missions have taken up a fair amount of time, although I'll be getting back to exciting things soon. bobcook
Finally got my latest design for a "deep space explorer" transit ship plus lander to be workable. The lander is Duna or Laythe capable with parachutes as well as many (but not all) of the airless moons around the Kerbol system. After achieving LKO the transit ship has 6.9k dV. ARS
Today, my newest superheavy commercial aircraft are rolled out of hangar. I present to you, the "Crimson Sunset", a 174-seat nuclear-powered aircraft with infinite range, perfect for large-scale tourist mission on kerbin. The sight of it's 24 atmospheric nuclear thusters is a sight to behold Meanwhile, on KSC, after modifying the worker truck from SPH/VAB, Corburry Kerman decided that the best thing to be hauled with this truck is not a rocket parts, but an entire rocket instead. However, it's still not kerbal enough, so the truck is also converted into a mobile launchpad... For nukes... (BTW, this thing is called "SKUD Launcher". Because the more explody it is, the more kerbal it is) It's a beautiful day Edited May 8, 2017 by ARS
Julien Kerman
I started with my manned Vall Mission 1. Transferstage launch 2. Crew launch: 3. Tanker 1 launch: 4. Tanker 2 launch: TWR was 0.13 so I made multiple burns.

EpicSpaceTroll139
I lost a Kerbal in my career save today. I was supposed to rescue Eilchelle Kerman and her craft from orbit around the Mun. Because I was too focused on making a cheap rescue craft and not on making a good one, she died when her craft disintegrated on reentry. So I made a memorial. Now I need to make a rescue craft for the other rescue craft that I sent to save another Kerbal around the Mun. I should also try lowering my res settings or something, the mini-lag-spikes when recording is getting annoying. Then well spotted. Excellent use of spoiler code. Wouldn't want to ruin the movie..... Repeated 4 times missions to get [Station Science]. Twice failing to orbit correctly. MJ magically ate some of my ignitions on the Hydrolox upper and transit stages. So attempt 4 used nukes! I had extra fuel in the TLI stage. Clean 89.9deg polar orbit finished 100% of space science around moon. So landing attempts made. Liquid methane Nuke got the ship mostly to orbit also, and even did a small crater hop once to help. Almost didn't transfer life support right, capsule was empty and service module almost full. Nearly lost a kerb. Well, which movie? There has been quite a few, you know. Even the National Socialist government of Germany made one. And it was more of a space saver, as it wasn't that exciting a picture, unlike this particular launch attempt:
NISSKEPCSIM
Yeah, there are a lot of movies about the Titanic... there were about 4 obscure ones on Netflix before they were removed and the famous one got added. (Just this year) @Bornholio your Lunar lander in looks to me a bit like a TKS with some sort of transfer stage... don't know why... maybe it's because of the shape of the rear fuel tank.
