Most attractive celestial body from low orbit?

Recommended Posts

I have sent probes and established satellites in the Joolian system, I've been to Moho, I have sent manned missions to Gilly and Duna and sent unmanned probes to Eve but I believe nothing matches the varied high albedo mountain ranges and Ice flats of Minmus.

What do you guys think?

Of the places I've been, Mün (I'm horribly biased). In close second, Dres. Third it's even between Duna, Laythe and Eve.

Just looking around in the tracking station though, the colour combinations of Pol look very interesting.

I have sent probes to laythe before but just yesterday I sent a manned mission to Laythe and safely landed, set up a flag and enjoyed the view I had on the coast. Amazingly beautiful planet Laythe is.

Lathe has some views. Looking over a sand dune, across the sea and into the depths of the Green Jool is amazing. Especially if a few other moons dot the sky too...

Personally, I like Duna. It's very pretty. Here are some reasons why I picked Duna, and didn't pick the others:

-Duna has an atmosphere which automatically helps it look pretty.

-Kerbin is inherently pretty but I see it so much it's almost mundane.

-The Sun is far too bright to notice any real features when orbiting closely.

-All the rocky planets seem very desolate and lonely, except Vall for some reason...

-Laythe looks too much like Kerbin to me.

-Jool is so.. Freaking... Green...

-Eve, while pretty, makes me slightly somber. It looks so lonely.. So untouched and misunderstood..

Duna is best planet.
