I've got an Aptiva E2N with

-AMD K6 2/266 processor with 3DNow! Technology

-32 Megs of DRAM

-512KB L2 Pipeline Burst Cache

-56K Modem

-2 MB Graphics Ram

-ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP Graphics

Let's see if you don't have a system lower-spec than mine.

Oh, and if you do,

I have a 32KB Von Neumann memory architecture Cosmac Elf Membership Card clocking 2.1 Mhz.'

What do you have that's older/lower-spec?

Potato GLaDOS? A toaster? Lol, nah. My rig's pretty good. I'm probably gonna be getting a nice laptop with an i7-4700QM, dual GT750m's on SLI. A typical 1TB hardrive... the RPM was somewhere in the 5000's, can't really remember, also a 24 GB SSD, 1920x1080... uh... I think I got the important stuff.. so yeah.

(I'm in my phone so I don't have the specs with me :P)

Oh, right, 16 gigs of RAM

Raspberry Pi Model B rev. 2.

700 MHz ARM1176JZF-S processor and 512 MB's of RAM split between the system and the integrated graphics core.

Oh, and then there's my TI Nspire CX CAS calculator. It appears to have some 150 MHz ARM processor and 64 MB's of RAM. Still runs GBC and NES games just fine.

Pentium MMX 233.

384MB RAM

15GB hard drive

Has an S3 Trio 2MB videocard- doesn't even do 3D rendering properly.

Oh and I actually managed to put a 24x10x40 CDRW in it and make it work.

Originally this thing had windows 95 on it.

This is a HP Vectra VE5/233

It originally had only 32MB of RAM and a 2GB hard drive, I long ago maxed it out

Man, Mine has a 4 GB HDD. I have no idea what GPU you're talking about, but I wasn't into gaming and high-end hardware those days. On the contrary I mostly played Gameboy Color games.

The very first computer I remember our family having is an old Tandy 1100-series laptop with a monochrome green LCD screen. I think it's still around somewhere, although it's been out of use for a long time -- probably still tucked away in a moving box somewhere. I think it's older than I am.

I don't have the exact system specs, but I remember the hard drive on that thing was tiny, and (from my dim recollections) was entirely devoted to the OS. You had to save all your actual data on those little 3.5" floppy disks. You also had to type command prompts in order to access any programs that didn't ship with the computer, since the GUI was rudimentary at best.

I still have the users' guide for the DeskMate operating system, incidentally. It has an appendix with instructions on how to use a wonderful new third-party peripheral called a "mouse," since not every computer actually shipped with one back then.

i own one of the first amd 64 bit machines that came out close to 10 years ago. it stands as a permanent reminder of how slow the software industry have taken to the 64 bit architecture. it doesnt have an os because i am out of hard drives, unless you count the old linux live cd its running. i really dont know what to do with the thing, its too slow to run a modern os, but its still in working order. maybe i can install baremetalos to a flash card or something.

all my older machines got scrapped for parts.

A custom rig I built myself. It consists of a 9v battery, wire, a resistor and an LED. :)

Nah. I'm pretty high up. 3rd gen Intel i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 Premium 64- bit, 1TB 7200RPM hard drive, NVIDIA GT650M and HD 4000 graphics cards. 1080p high def screen, too.

You must give us a picture! It sounds AWESOME. (I like vintage hardware)

Sadly, I wasn't able to find the dark corner that my family's personal model is hidden in. However, after doing a bit of searching, I was able to find a webpage with some photos of essentially the same model and the disks that came with it, as well as the system specs.

(The website itself is Russian, but the text for that page in particular is English.)
