Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has a config for the EVE's effects with 64k-rss config, because the astronomer's visual crashes at my ksp load screen.

The problem is that when I launch there is this big circle without clouds around my craft and one under the craft, it's pretty annoying.

Help is appreciated.

Sorry if this has already been answered (don't want to go through the forum pages), but have you been busy with other things? or have you given up on this mod? Sorry if this is a annoying question, I am just confused why this mod is 2 versions old and you are still actively (sort of) replying to people, and (as far as I have seen) haven't given a reason for no updates. Again sorry if this has been answered, just wanted to know why this hasn't been updated. Thank you for taking the time to read this. :)

Rbrays last post was one and a half months ago, so it seems that RL has gotten to him. This mod does still work fine though, no updates needed.

Thank you, I installed it and it worked fine, I just remembered today that I posted that. and I was going to delete it but since you replied there is no reason to.

What happens if Rbray decides to take a permanent leave of absence? Its only been around 40 days since his last post so I don't think its wise to write anything off yet, but in general when/if the day comes that this mod looses support from Rbray. Is it possible to pick up the pieces?

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Clouds.Clouds.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I'm assuming that with a class called Clouds.Clouds, it must be coming from this mod and not some other (although it won't tell me the filename so I don't know for sure).

It happens all over the place, especially after any scene change (i.e. flight to space center to VAB etc).

I get this every scene change on Kerbin during loading screen. It seems mod tries to update Clouds while the're not created yet.

No you're not, I've been trying to track down what was causing the Null references for the last few days and eventually ended up with just E.V.E.

and still getting Null references spamming the log constantly.

I really don't want to go back to stock so I doubt I'll be playing any more until this is fixed, which seems unlikely as it looks abandoned. :(

It is, for the most part, harmless. If I remember correctly, it's just saying it's having trouble loading Clouds because the scene it's rendering them in hasn't fully loaded yet. When the scene fully loads and physics kick in and everything, the message stops. It's certainly not something to uninstall because of, let alone stop playing.

Well, I'm not so sure, my game always gets more and more unstable and always ends with the kraken destroying some of my ships, could be a stock issue or a combination of other mods but as EVE is the only mod I've used consistently in every career so far and it's throwing out errors it seems that there's a strong possibility that it's causing these issues.

Yeah, that's the stock memory leak people keep going on about. FWIW, a while ago (on 0.90), I managed to play completely crash free for like 6+ hours on my heavily modded install. A huge amount of scene switching, launching, crashing etc.. Only when I went to have tea and left it on Pause did it crash. Never did find the cause.

No I think you misunderstand, I don't mean crashing after a long play session, I mean that once I get a few satellites up around other bodies and craft on the way to planets, everything starts to get very unstable and switching to a new ship regularly results in NaN Kraken's or ships exploding for no reason and killing the crew.

So far I've had to abandon 5 careers because the craft do weird things or the save just breaks completely.

All I can say is that I doubt your problem comes from EVE. That NRE is just what I said it was, it shouldn't effect ships at all.. Have you played through a similar length in time on a save with just EVE and nothing else installed to see if it still happens?

No, I've always had quite a few mods on, you may be right

the constant bugs have killed off most of my interest in playing at all now and I don't have the time or inclination to go through all that again, least of all on an unmodded game, so I suppose I can't complain.

I might try again after 1.0 is released.

Why are my clouds so pixelated??? can't even make a cinematic with it...

WOW! That interface is compelling! I just can't access it on Linux (neither with RShift-N nor RShift-E, etc.). Although nothing happens when I use these keys, I thought it might be the result of some incompatibility with another mod. How do I change this key binding?
