Star Trek Enterprise

I don't understand why so many people hate Enterprise, i think it's cool.

The most notable season of ST:E IMHO is season 3 with the Xindi.

Everything about it (the different species, the ultimate weapon) reminded me of Master of Orion with its different species and its Doom Stars

The only series that I've watched all of is Enterprise. It's good, save for the last episode which is 'bleh'.

The Next Generation is good, and one of the double-episodes are quite literally awesome; The Best of Both Worlds. I think most will agree with me on that.

Voyager is also pretty good. Lots of Borg.

Deep Space 9 is... interesting. It's my least favourite of the Next Generation era series, but it has epic battle scenes every now and then.

The Original Series, I've seen maybe 3 episodes. The Trouble with Tribbles, and The Doomsday Machine are the two I remember. Decent stuff, but definitely aged.

For the record, any episode with the Borg in tends to range from good to epic, IMO.

I enjoyed the first season of Enterprise, as they develop/acquire the standard techs of the other Treks. After that I thought it went downhill.

The best part of Deep Space 9 was the Dominion War story arc in seasons 3-5.

Voyager? It was alright. 7 of 9, 'nuff said.

But TOS rules them all, if you can handle the ancient special effects. Side note: Roddenberry "invented" the transporters because it was a lot cheaper than having a bunch of shuttle landing scenes every episode.

Enterprise is the series I've seen the least of, so I can't really judge it from my own experience, but the general consensus I hear is it got cancelled right as it was really getting good (and that the last episode was horrible in part because it's not actually even an Enterprise episode). DS9 is the only series I've been able to watch all the way through, though I've caught most of TNG and Voyager. Of those three I have to say DS9 is my favorite, full stop, Sisko is best captain (well, Picard's a close second), end of discussion. I prefer TNG to Voyager as well, though I've seen a little more of Voyager I think. TOS is pretty good, but I mostly watched it when I was a kid and haven't really had the urge to watch more of it than the movies and the odd rerun I find while flipping channels.

Also, I have to say my favorite Star Trek movie is Wrath of Khan. Galaxy Quest is my second favorite. No, I'm not kidding.

I didn't mind voyager except for Neelix he was just annoying.

DS9 was great I really like how they basically spit in the face of roddenberry and showed that the federation has more blood on their hands than what we are lead to believe.

never bothered watching enterprise the few episodes I seen weren't bad but they could have done better.

I really like Enterprise, I found I got much more into it than the other series. Voyager comes in seconds with Next Gen after that. I get people like different things but why do people dislike Enterprise do much?

I like them all.... and hate them all... meaning, I don't take them as seriously as some do...

For example, TOS, it started it all... but the aliens depicted with magic ruined it....

TNG.... was good... except, someone made a comment that Photon Torpedoes are for firing... not diplomacy.... I think they wanted the emphasis on talking out problems rather than blowing the crap out of your enemies... near the end, with the Borg, it changed.... got better...

Voyager.... 7of9 was.... nice... The Doctor was funny... but its amazing they EVER got home at all with Janeway doing her best to avoid any and all fights....

DS9 .... yeah, the war with the Dominion was good... but I could stand that "Kai" idiot ... a spiritual leader as wimpy as she was ... stupid... BTW, "Kai" in Maori means food....

Enterprise... the BIRTH of the Federation, before they had all the fancy toys like tractor beams.... it was good... but T'pol displayed too much emotion.... for a Vulcan... repressed anger at the stupidity of humans.... but also, the emphasis on time travel ruined it....

as for the movies.... the last TWO movies completely rewrote the history of the Universe... no Vulcan, it now caters more for children.... where is Star Fleet... the second movie, it appears Star Fleet coinsists of any Captain or senior officer that happens to be on or near Earth... I'm sorry, but J.J. Abrahams massacred the franchise... rather than a REAL thinking movie with Borg... we have a children's hour of CGI effects and stunts....

J.J. should be put to death for what he has done.... its like the past 40 years has now not happened, meaning, I wasted my life watching those DECENT movies before they hired him to kill it all...

... and don't get me started on the plot holes....

Seriously, they made a child a captain of a Star Ship because he remembered how his daddy died and that helped save them all.... seriously? He got lucky, it wasn't skill.... if I was next in line for a promotion, I'd be seriously pissed off.... and then, just as easy as he was promoted, the next movie, they DEmote him because he violated the prime directive....

That proves my argument, they had no right making him a captain because he hasn't got the experience or the skill...

I love Enterprise. Not as much as I love DS9, but it's a close second.

In many ways, Enterprise contains the best of DS9 and TOS: it's largely about exploration and discovery, but it also has a lot of recurring characters and plotlines that become more and more relevant as time goes on. Definitely the most underrated TV show I know of.

Oh, and it has the most beautiful looking starship of any sci-fi series. Seriously, just look at her!

i grew up with tng so thats my favorite series. ds9 had a horrible start and a grand finish. voyager, lol. enterprise was better, but not much (its cast was kind of flat). original series was pretty good considering when it was made. i recently watched the entirety of star trek: the animated series. it was better than i expected.

i should rewatch the original series, im sure there is a handful of episodes that i have not ever seen.

The problem with Enterprise, at least from what I have picked up from SFDebris (I didn't watch too much of Star trek and have no particular love for the franchise, despite my username) the different teams of writers on ENT couldn't stand each other. This lead to a whole lot of characterisation inconsistensies. And that there where episodes who focused on that stupid dog (urgh, Night at Sickbay). That the final episode of the series pretty much destroyed any sort of relevance the series had for the franchise didn't help either.
