So next, we can move onto the 1.25m Mir parts, kvant-2, Kristall.

Not quite ready to put on GitHub.

The aim as ever is still a good balance, for the first time you should be able to build a good, and decently accurate / specialised Mir, but there is some focus to keep the parts generic. If you can think of some accomodations that would make the more useful in generic uses,  let me know.

what are the model sizes of the MIR & FGB crew sections out of curiosity, 2.5m? Always good to know what the parts are modelled at so people like myself that like to make RO configs can do so accurately.

For sure, they are roughly like so
red - KSP
white - IRL

If you have blender, you can take a look at the raw files if you need some custom measurements:

Mostly all parts with a rescale of 160% will be IRL scale (Though there a little deviations to fit into the KSP node sizes).

cool. What I would like to see, what I could not find anywhere so I had to sort of mock up, are Zarya's correction and docking engines (KRD-442). On yours they're just the squad spider engines, but we have the s5.79 for MIR so would be cool to see the KRD-442 engines.

Ah thanks, that's a nice idea. I will be picking up some Nauka parts I believe, so this might fit with that. I've added it to the GitHub project "tentative" list:

Ah for sure, there will be the Puppy-sled engine setup for use with these (in fabric and otherwise)

A few of the parts so far had little circle mounts that could be toggled.

but, this was actually not a great use of space, by ditching these, we can have much more interesting variants, with no extra texture space :)

Most of them were the results of importing screenshots into Paint.net, making them black and white, increasing the brightness and contrast a bit, shrinking them, and adding a little bit of noise.

EDIT: also a few have some clouds that I put on an upper layer with low opacity and then merged downwards.

Sorry if I'm going over old ground here but I've tried looking through the thread and looking on github, but whats the status with the Soyuz rescale patch? The last thing I saw on it was septemberWaves' testing on it back on page 805

I think @septemberWaves was going to look at a bunch of configs in one go, but unfortunately I haven't heard from them in a while. I think for now it is on ice.

What exactly was the rescale patch supposed to scale it to? I have a bunch of rescaled and RO configs for Tantares that I created for my ISS build project.

It rescaled the diameter of the Soyuz upper stage and upper cone stage to a size about 1.5m across, since the real thing is right between the 1.25 and 1.875 sizes the mod sticks to

My configs scale the FGB, Service module, Soyuz and Progress all to real life scale. They do incorporate Realfuels and life support systems also though. I'm currently in the process of putting all my rescaled RSS/RO configs for Tantares, Habtech and a few other mods onto my Github page. If @Bealewould like any of the configs for rescaled parts for RSS/RO configs, maybe he could link them for people in the OP?

For the 1.5m Soyuz parts? It's possible I may have forgotten to send you the fixed files, but it's nothing complicated. I found the original files in one of the 1.8 versions of TantaresLV and the only thing that needed updating was the parts folder because it had been renamed with different capitalization between versions for some reason.

EDIT: Just double-checked our private messages. It's not an actual file because I couldn't figure out how to attach one on the forums, but I pasted the complete config file for you a while back under a readmore, and all that's needed is to copypaste it and put it into the folder that I mentioned in the message.

Difference 8 years makes. Nice to have a flexible soviet-style stations kit, but I sure do miss the IVAs and little nifty features from the old mods.

Not sure if I should wait for SOCK Buran before I launch Kristall.... Need to make sure those docking ports are compatible :)
