  1. But all of these NREs refer to Kopernicus. It doesn't seem to be a Konstruction problem.
  2. I think the experts here will need more information. What versions of KSP and this mod do you have installed? This might not be a KIS problem so post your log file (<your KSP>/KSP_x64_Data/output_log.txt; upload it to a file sharing service, such as DropBox, and post the link to it here in the forum).
  3. @Padishar, just wanted to say how so incredibly helpful KER has been to my enjoyment of KSP. Thanks for the dedication, time and patience you've demonstrated in maintaining this truly indispensable tool.
  4. Well, the Kraken (reference to the mythical monster that destroys everything when it was unleashed by the Gods) is the community's way of referring to odd events in the game that can destroy vessels and bases. Often it's due to physics rules being applied too quickly on a scene change where there is some small undetected clipping with a surface, but it is generally anything that inexplicably causes craft to come apart or the save to be corrupted. Therefore, to be "krakenized" is the act of the Kraken "appearing" (not actually a visible thing, you understand) and destroying something you've created. Others may have a better definition.
  5. Yes, it seems to be compatible, at least it does for me. I have Universal Storage 1.2.0.1 showing up in, and installable by CKAN, in a KSP 1.2.1 game.
  6. The big map does not update automatically like the small map. There's a button top-centre of the window that will generate a refresh, or, as you found out, changing scenes will force a redraw on your return to the original body. AFAIK, this is by design and has been this way for quite some time.
  7. Dust doesn't need air or an atmosphere; it can be stirred up from an airless surface by some other force, i.e. a thruster or wheel. Settling of dust would therefore be dependent on gravity. If the dust clouds are just roaming around, that's a different story but I'm happy with the author's licence to make the surface more interesting. Maybe there's some out-gassing??
  8. True, but you can select an icon from the installed mods, so I group USI and DMagic ScanSat icons into folders and use one of their own icons. It's not perfect but it works for me.
  9. Not a lot to work with here . Exactly how did you try to install manually? What version of KSP and EVE are you using/installing? Where did you put the contents of the AnyCPU-EVE-Release zip file?
  10. @atomicfartPut the TextureReplacer folder under the ...\<yourKSP>\GameData folder. Also, check the first post in this thread for complete install instructions and more valuable information. Generally, this is a good idea for any and every mod you install.
  11. The log file in Windows installs is found under the KSP_x64_Data or KSP_Data folders, depending whether you're running 64-bit or 32-bit KSP, and is called output_log.txt (and you really should be playing 64-bit if you can, BTW). Upload them to a file sharing service, such as Dropbox, GoogleDrive or equivalent, and post a link to the file in your forum post (use the Link icon on the editor toolbar). Do not directly post the contents of the file here. You can do the same thing with the craft and save files if they're needed. Hope this helps.
  12. So the first one would consist of launching a telescope and waiting for science to collect at some rate, similar to scanning for resources. This reveals the object but leaves it unresearched. Step 2 would consist of pointing a telescope(s) at the discovered object and collecting more science to research it in preparation for Step 3. Do I understand this correctly?
  13. Thanks, this helps me, too. I understood everything except the assignment of a KeySet. I'm working from my memory of the AGEx UI so how do I assign a KeySet to a vessel?
  14. Fair enough but that's a different question. Regardless, thanks to DMagic for all of his great mods.
  15. I'm not saying that DMagic's solution isn't worth asking for, but I'm pretty sure that KER supplies all of this. Vertical and Horizontal speed, when combined with Surface mode on the NavBall, should give you want you want. They certainly read 0 when I'm hovering. And slope under the ship is definitely available. Not sure about slope at impact point, though.
  16. Read back up this thread just a few posts and read the OP FAQs, the answer is already there - CKAN is not support by the mod author. Ask this question in the CKAN thread.
  17. Please, let's stop with the cat thing. It's way off topic. Start a new thread I can ignore...wait a minute, that's what people are suggesting I do with the cat on the screen...I'm confused now
  18. Well that's weird. It's not loaded by CKAN so I went to the version file in the install directory. It says Build 2467. How come CKAN reports otherwise (rhetorical question)?
  19. Matrorolgnika often streams on Twitch and he seems to use them all the time, at least until recently because he's now playing KSP v1.2Pre. You could perhaps check some of his saved streams.
  20. I seem to have had v1.0.13-2539 for some time (at least that's what CKAN auto-detects for the manual install). Do I need to re-download and re-install?
