I miss @MrMeeb's SPT. He had a nice payload adapter in the works, and I wonder how it would've worked with this IUS. Perhaps, if you're interested, you could see if you can take over his parts. They would go with this happily, and I would be happy to see them updated.- 2,344 replies

Stock separatrons are awful cosmetically and take far too much tweaking, so any alternative that fits on the soyuz and "just works" is a non-trivial need, in my opinion. Parts like the periscope you could set to give science points for "observation" but in my opinion not everything needs to have a stock usage. I think it's reasonable to assume a majority of people who use Tantares use it for historical reenactment rather than something like career, so at least myself would appreciate parts that exist purely for historical accuracy. That being said, Contares still exists and has some of those extras. It's the same reason I still think there should be a patch that matches the performance of these parts rather than rescaling the system: usually I just want to fly a soyuz, not integrate it with stock.

I'm not sure if anyone has talked about any in-depth comparisons to the new DLC parts (though I'm sure it's a big topic of discussion and I don't have time to go back and check--sorry!), but while they are nifty, I still think Tantares parts are better overall (the DLC didn't even include a Soyuz, what gives). I just wanted to point out a few neat features that I hope Tantares will adopt now that these parts are stock-ish. First of all the stock texture switch is incredible, and the orange/grey Russian colour scheme is nice. The R-7 boosters include built-in separatrons--please add these, it makes Korolev crosses easy Also, the new Vostok parts have a decoupler function built into them which includes an umbilical, which would be great on the Soyuz too. and landing jets I'll edit in anything else if I think of it

I had no intention to use these parts after Cormorant included its own Shuttle launch system but damn. These parts look so good that I'll have to pretend they're updated versions of that just so I can have them in my game.

Great new parts, I think I may no longer need the KSOS vehicles! I think we need some variation with the engine/fuel cells, though, in one of two ways, because currently every vehicle almost has to have a hybrid cell to be able to run for a good length of time, but that ruins some designs. Either batteries should be built into chassis parts, or a specific version of the chassis with a hybrid cell built in. I can't create trucks like the ones scattered around the KSC that run for any length of time due to this. Other minor things are: taillights would be really nice, a fuel tank like the stock truck ones, and the wheels should have some more distinguishing descriptions. Alternatively for the fuel tanks, a part that allows tanks with set radii to be attached.

This is awesome! I absolutely adore vehicle packs for KSP! I really want to try this out, but I have a paper due tomorrow Are you going to have the stock vehicles in the pack? I know I can get them from Lack's stock expansion or KSOS, but if it's simple, having them all in one place would be nice, as would others like KSOS's, since the mod is barely supported any longer. One more suggestion, @Omega482 has a building pack as seen below, which has a set of some more like a forklift. Though these would require IR, it's an interesting idea.

Looks great! I liked the FASA towers included with BDB, but this gets put together much nicer. This doesn't sway the rocket violently when decoupled, does it? For other ideas, a shuttle pad could be next to match with Cormorant Aeronology. I donno how feasible a crawler would be in either case, but there was an old abandoned project for one that I liked the look of. @Puggonaut Can you show some more detail for your crawler? It was obscured by buildings in nearly every shot of your video.

Rather than the Mig, what about a Kliper revamp? (Or Knes could take care of that) By the way, are there serious plans for a Buran to go with Cormorant or what exactly is the story? I can't tell with Cobalt's meming sometimes. EDIT: I'm dumb and I meant Energia

I can't believe I just noticed in the OP your Aeris 2A. Is that based on the Sanka Mk.B or the Kyūshū J7W1? Edit: looking at it again, it looks more like the XP-55. But I recommend checking out the Sky Crawlers series for some really unique prop plane designs.

I asked before about adding probe stuff to the interstage, but the nosecones for the Heavy boosters would need probe functionality too. Or just a single-purpose probe-core for all three. Also is it possible to make those cool retracting booster decouplers that the Heavy has?

Besides the SpaceX stuff--which is always awesome--are any more landing legs coming? I've been in need of a mod that allows stages to be landed on their side; like a stockalike version of the parts from LCA's Energia boosters. Your Energia 2 wings only fuel that desire more. @damonvv What's that fancy stuff in your KSC? -
What about umbilicals between the pod and trunk, and that deployable antenna thing on the Rodan?
