  1. I do think that the interior polys that are only going to be hidden with normal use should be a variant. Also, what do you anticipate the style of texturing to be like? Stockalike, Restockalike, BDB-like, or something else?
  2. I guess the main reason why smallsat mods are not in abundance is due to the fact that they're difficult to assemble, since the VAB/SPH camera can only zoom in so far. Another reason I'd love this is to launch tens of satellites like this in orbit around Kerbin or another body with SCANSat to quickly map the body in much shorter time than with only one satellite (on slowly rotating bodies, i.e. Moho, scanning will take AGES). Another use is a deployable subsatellite, kinda like the MarCO satellites that launched with InSight.
  3. This looks interesting. Will integration with DMagic Orbital Science and/or SCANSat be planned? As I think that this would really fit in with those mods, since a small, easily deployable satellite bus would work well with those mods, and as a substitute for satellite internet.
  4. Will Gemini ever be updated (mainly just the service module, as it isn’t even remotely accurate. The real Gemini SM used solid rocket motors for deorbit), since it is technically Titan-related?
  5. This sounds quite interesting! So it’s like an expansion pack of sorts to Kerbalism and other life support mods? I don’t know if this is possible, but it’d be cool if there were different kinds of food, each with different nutrients that Kerbals need to survive. If a Kerbal doesn’t get a specific nutrient, he will get a disease or some other ailment, so if a Kerbal doesn’t get enough Vitamin K, they will get skurvy or something. And maybe a rudimentary health system where if, for example, if a Kerbal falls from a high place, they will get injured and will walk slower or not be able to run, unless they are healed in a medical module, which Kerbals with higher medical skills will be able to heal more.
  6. Might I ask for more information on what this mod is other than life support?
  7. Yes, you can do that, but it is extremely mass inefficient compared to reaction wheels. I guess that a custom part could be made using KAS like this, but it looks more like a traditional yo-yo despin device, but it is a lot of work for something that will be used for such a small portion of the mission, and can be done using other methods which can be used in other parts of the mission. For small satellites with no reaction wheels and/or RCS, then I guess that yo-yo despin could make sense, though you could do a cheaty approximation of one by not actually using physics to slow it down, but have some kind of plugin that slows down the rotation of the craft to a certain speed, and plays an animation to make an illusion. This would likely be better for performance and consistency than using a KAS-like physics approach. KSP does simulate a gyroscopic effect. If you take a rapidly spinning craft with RCS thrusters on the nose and tail, and try to pitch it, it will behave like a gyroscope.
  8. From personal experience with spin stabilization, it requires you to balance the center of mass with the thrust vector so the object being spun doesn’t experience an off-axis torque and result in cosine losses. It also only really makes sense with PersistentRotation installed, but additionally KSPs OP reaction wheels make spin stabilization less useful than in real life. I guess it could be useful if you’re designing a craft that is not orientation dependent (i.e. doesn’t need to perform burns) and needs to be lightweight and you’re using the probe cores without reaction wheels. Also, I’ve tried using small solid rocket motors (usually the Mercury Posigrade motors) to spin up the table, but it can be a bit finicky. I would however use some kind of payload cradle like the IUS one for payloads in @Well‘s X-20, as I currently have to set the decoupler that attaches the payload to the X-20 to 0% force, and then use RCS to push the Dynasoar away.
  9. The new Kopernicus version for 1.7.1 breaks all plugins that depend on it, including this one.
  10. Which is the latest version that doesn't break any plugins?
  11. Kopernicus should be working as I'm using the latest version of it that is built for 1.7.1 (10 hours old as of this post). EDIT: See Post Below
  12. I haven't got it to work currently, although I'm not sure if it's an issue with Kopernicus, Sigma, or Rescale at the moment. I doubt it would be Rescale because it's just a config file, though it could be the culprit if the config file format Sigma expects has changed. I've tried both the latest release and latest development version of Sigma, to no avail.
  13. Welcome to the forums, @spacefreak! This should be in Add-on Discussions, not Add-on Development. Would this mod be the entire ISS, or just the US or Russian segments? @benjee10 is working on HabTech2, which has the US segment and the truss. And @Beale has Tantares, which has parts to build Salyut/Mir/RSOS, among other things.
  14. This thread should be closed, or at least moved from Add-on Development.
  15. Some parts in the latest dev release (Apollo Lunar Module Adapter panels, and the Spacelab fairing adapter) are too small.
