Kind of defies the point when they're just pushing the console version further from the PC edition, while the one with the larger player base finds it harder to test Mun related things. Kind of a bad way to make up for a lack of features. Edited February 11, 2020 by Bej Kerman

A cheat menu that has the risk of trying to land you on a wall isn't the same as a button that puts you on a nice flat launchpad, with just 1 click, for testing things properly. Well, from the article it sounds more like a sort of stock Vessel Mover: On 1/23/2020 at 8:03 PM, SQUAD said: Quality of Life Features ; a new cheat menu option that will allow you to place your craft above the surface of any celestial body; It makes sense that this would allow you to gently place the craft on the surface too, rather than just dropping it. It doesn't matter, a button is more convenient than a cheat menu. And what's the console base going to lose if PC gets a Mun launch pad? Probably not much, seeing as the PC version likely will not get a Mun launch pad because we will then abuse it XD

Deddly
The Mün launchpad was added to the console version as a little gift to make it feel in some way special, since the PC version has a lot of features not available for console. It was a controversial feature even so, and I am extremely thankful that it isn't available on PC. It would really ruin the game for me just to know that it's available. I know people are going to tell me "Just don't use it, then!" but there's something about the very idea that seriously messes with my immersion, just like if there were a powerful engine that didn't use any fuel - even if I didn't use it, it would bother me immensely that it was there. Just my opinion.
