It turns out that April only has 30 days this year, so that means it's time for

Threads of the Month Awards, May 2019!

We'll kick things off with this spellbinding deep-space drama from @Oraldo revak, awesome in scope:

 

Next up, from @klond, a mechanical adder implemented in KSP.  No doubt by next month he'll have a functioning Babbage machine, and then a fully Turing-complete solution the month after that; and then I, for one, shall welcome our new mechanical kerbal overlords:

 

From a bleak look at our future to a trip down memory lane, here's a fully-stock, painstakingly recreated Lockheed Super Constellation, from @HB Stratos:

 

Ever wanted a challenge where the focus is creativity, rather than another iteration of fastest / smallest / cheapest / etc.-est?  Like luminous jellyfish taking to the skies, the colour of magic, @Klapaucius brings us the Light Fantastic:

 

And finally... a thread that almost seems worthy of a category of its own-- to the point that we were scratching our heads over which sub-forum it belongs in.  @Missingno200 has managed to come up with an entirely new category of user-created content, which (given how long KSP has been around by now) is a pretty rare event.

He's made a custom scenario.  By which I mean, not a Making History "mission" (we have a forum for those), but rather an actual custom scenario, like those tutorials that Squad includes with the game.  Fully stock, no DLC required.
